He doesn't have nerve damage, that would mean intense therapy or losing his arm funtion. Burke had problems because his nerves were affected, George's nerves are ok.
I'm a bit confused about which one may die... The last scenes show George in surgery and outside the elevator, Izzie is the one coding and inside the elevator. Maybe George isn't the one who's death, maybe it's Izzie...
Staying inside the elevator means to cross, to go, to give up. Leaving the elevator maybe means to live and stay with the people she cares and that love her, means to fight, to be a do-er (as George said to her in the episode).
It's ambiguous and can have boths meanings, imo! And that's quite remarkable! The writters did a awsome job with this! Well done Shonda and co :)

ABC already announced the name of the 100th episode: "What a Difference a Day Makes". Regarding Izzie, she didn't had a brain tumor. She has a stage 4 melanoma that had brain metastasis. thecnically isn't a tumor, imo...

Ausiello is now saying in EW website that Mark and Lexie are NOT the ones who will get married. This with the latest pics on set led indeed to a Alex/Izzie wedding...

It's a bit confusing because a two-hour season finale normally would mean episodes 23/24 in the same thursday aired as one... We will have to wait a bit more to see the real name of the last episodes of this season...
Kristen, the 100th episode (the wedding one - May 7) title isn't "Lucid Dreams", that's the title of the season finale (May 14). The 100th - 5.22 - is called "Beautiful day".

Johanna, I also listened to the podcast and that part was intriguing. They're speaking specifically about next episode "Sweet Surrender" but you don't know if they're talking about several wedding dresses being tried or if is more that one girl trying a wedding dress. With Shonda you never know...
Shonda must have had a reason to give such a big spoiler. She's always so secret about what will happen on Grey's. Could have been the efect of the champagne of the 100th episode celebration (some people talk too much with liquor :P) But sounds a bit fishy to me...
About Izzie, lets see what happens. Seems that it's all on the writers hands now. Another thing about her is that JDM was on the set when they celebrated the 100th episode (see the cake pic), so maybe we'll see more Denny :S
I finished watching it and this is the "Grey's Anatomy" I love! Great episode for every character!
- The proposal was amazing
- Meredith finally was there for Derek and didn't run or freak out
- The Chief rocked! Rocked when he said he was scared too, when he talked with Derek to try a third time, rocked when he stopped Meredith to take the elevator
- Callie was cute with Arizona and the way she talked with George and also cared about Izzie despite what happened in the past was touching
- George's angry and fear for Izzie was moving
- Cristina and Owen (great acting for both Kevin and Sandra) broke my hearth. The way make love and how Cristina said she was afraid to fall asleep in his arms was tearjerker
- Alex was my fav character this episode (Justin rocked)! The way the just hold the cup for helping Izzie, him being upset, guilty and his talk with Mer saying that wasn't the way he wanted kids with Izzie, him being at her side after surgery... Alex was a jerk in the past but today he was there for the woman he loves!
- The scene when Alex gave the cup to the chief while he was eating was soooo funny, I laughted so much!
- The cancer doctor is quite annoying and her actions in the OR were quite bitchy. Not because it was Derek but because she was questioning a fellow collegue during a complicated procedure. If she had anything to say she should have said it before not during, imo!
