Most of the negativity has come from my last bullet point. I stepped away for a day and reread it today as a Lauren fan and I now understand how you interpreted it. The point I was trying to make was not clear at all and was interpreted almost the opposite of how I meant it(sometimes happens when writing a review quickly after an episode and late at night. Unfortunately.) So, I will try again and elaborate on my reasoning.
I feel that I need to further clarify my position on Lauren. Please see my initial comments below. Also, everyone is free to share their opinion, but I don't want to see name calling or personal attacks on the reviews. I will delete those if they start to happen. So far, the discussion has been lively but free of any those types of comments, which is good.
As far as Dyson is concerned, Bo did love him and it was tragic that the Norn took his love. But, it happened and Bo has moved on. Now he is full of angst and a bit annoying.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Bo's relationship with both Lauren and Dyson play out. She's a succubus, so I wouldn't be surprised to see her continue to bounce between them, as well as, others.
Just a reminder that I have only seen through this episode in the US. I want to clarify some misconceptions about my feelings about Bo and her relationships.
I don't think I am bias because I am not part of a shipper side, if anything that makes me not bias. I'm enjoying Bo's journey through all of her relationships including this one with Ryan. While he isn't someone I think she will stay with in the long term. He has taught her something about the Fae world that her friends couldn't. That's important.
In season 1, I did think that Bo and Lauren had chemistry. I wrote this in one of my reviews, "The chemistry between Bo and Dyson has been hot, hot, hot, but wow, if the chemistry between Bo and Lauren isn't equally as steamy."
My issue with Bo and Lauren in season 2 (and this has nothing to do with Dyson), is that Lauren lied to Bo a few times and Lauren has a girlfriend. Bo and Lauren cannot be together as long as Lauren and Nadia are together.
When reading my reviews, please remember that I haven't seen all of season 2 yet. I am watching these episodes for the first time. Bo and Dyson had an intense relationship, while her relationship with Lauren is just beginning.
I question why Bo, who is a strong-willed person, has given up on Dyson instead of trying to correct what the Norn did. Their situation is messed up.
Regarding Lauren, if they can clear the air, I have no problem with them hooking up. They had intense chemistry when they first met. I just didn't see it in last night's episode the same way as before. Plus, Lauren's still lying to Bo. That's a problem.
Sorry for the omission of Leonard Nimoy in the review. I did write a paragraph about it, but somehow it got deleted during editing or when I copied and pasted the post.
I have made the correction. Thank you for the comments.
I'm hoping that Sheila and Jody won't be charged with kidnapping. How many killings have gone oddly undetected on this show? The law is not the same on this show as on procedurals.
And ... technically Jody is legally the father since he is married to Karen.
This was an amazing episode. From that one moment of true happiness at the Thanksgiving dinner table to the most horrid situation the family has seen a moment later.
@Shaerra The premiere of season 2 is the week after the season 1 finale. We should be on the same schedule or close to the same schedule for season 3 in the US.
@DCB I expect that going forward I'll talk more about the songs in the reviews, but this week they were unremarkable. Michael singing a Bruno Mars song in another Broadway show. Karen singing Redneck Woman at karaoke in Iowa.
And, the original song "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," which I briefly mention. It was a bore.
The music in the first two episodes was far superior.
I really don't understand what the heck Sarah and Mark are doing. Ok, so they want to have a baby, but ... like you said, how about moving in together? Or, at least having a discussion about getting married.
Sure, there are plenty of people who have a partnership and relationship without getting married. And, I can see them falling into that category, but at least have a conversation about it.
Where are they going to live if they have a baby? And, how does Drew fit into that picture? He basically lives with his grandparents now, will Mark move into the garage, shed, whatever it is that Sarah lives in now? Weird, very weird.
You described exactly how I felt when I saw Steve and then saw Fiona's reaction to Steve. I've missed him and his absence has shown how much Fiona needs him. Glad he's back!
I loved how he showed back up too. I kept waiting for him to either be at the wedding or to be in one of the pictures.
@Diana - I originally thought that the show was about vampires, but was pleasantly surprised to find out it isn't. I'm excited to watch a series that seems to have it's own unique mythology and rules.
@Jade and @Dairlover -- I rewatched the Katya and Semak scene and on second view I thought maybe she said that he fathered her too. It was hard to tell. But, she said, "You won't hurt her. We had a deal." ... "You promised not to hurt Alexandria."
And, Alex is wearing a watch in the last scene with Nikita. I assume that is the watch that Sean gave her.
@DonTV I hope you are right. I don't want Max in danger this soon. I'd love to see Michael reunite with Max and then go off some place with his mother. But, this being 'Nikita,' I'm guessing things won't go smoothly. I'm along for the ride whatever happens. Love this show.
