  1. Gossip Girl Spoilers: The Latest on Georgina

Urgh, no Sebastian Stan, please. 1) he's ugly (he reminds me of a snake) 2) his character is a Chuck wannabe (but Stan can't deliver) 3) unless they explain his background better, he is only a filler: why te hell did he come back to help Serena? Can't Serena pay for a private detective for finding her father? (I know she's dumb, but not that dumb). Is he secretly in love with S? But wasn't he banging Blair, like, five eps ago?
As for Georgina, I don't know if I'm happy or not. I was actually quite looking forward to her and Dan having a relationship, but I guess we can't have everything. But I really don't care: the only three regulars that I really want are Erik, Dorota and Cyrus!
  2. Kelly Rutherford Divorce Takes Surprising Twist

Ok, that must be a joke, right? I mean, there are judges who are willing to listen to all this c**p?
  3. Gossip Girl Round Table: "Valley Girls"

    1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
"I did. about 150 times" That made the episode for me

    2. Did Blair break up with Nate for the right reasons?
They should have never gotten together in the first place, that SL was so boring and predictable it made me cringe everytime I saw them on the screen. So, I suppose every reason for breaking up would have been a good reason, even "Ehi Nate, you have a spot on your face, let's break up!"

    3. Will Dan and Serena get together ... again?
I hope not. They have been so good a part, and I didn't really see any spark at prom, just a friend helping a friend (like with Gabriel). Maybe they can end up together during season 6

    4. What did you like most about the '80s scenes?
The photography, costumes and make up. But I think that the target audience is older than GG's, about Josh's and Stephanie's age! I mean, I'm 33 and the only reason why I could recognise styles, icons and references was because shows like Miami Vice, Dinasty etc arrived in Italy at the end of the 80s'

    5. What did you like least about the '80s scenes?
The two guys playing Owen and the blonde guy (sorry, I don't remember the name). They seemed a bit over the top with their acting, more like impersonating a caricature of a guy of the 80s' than really acting. Oh, and the fact that no one smoked. Don't tell me it's a moral issue, they were snorting cocaine...
    BONUS QUESTION:
Blair and Chuck finally get together.
Serena is shocked by the identity of who's helping GG
Georgina decides to move to NY
Dan, Nate, and Vanessa unknowingly find out about Scott's real identity
  4. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Surviving the Prom

Even if I think it must be Nate and Blair, Lily and Rufus are still together. Their realtionship is an adult one, and even if Rufus decided not to ask her to marry him, it doesn't mean that they broke up. On the other hand, what has prom to do with L and R? So it would make no sense to say that they won't survive prom...
  5. Round Table: "A Southern Gentleman Prefers Blondes"

1.What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?

Chuck Bass (to Nate): if you need to mark your territory, you might as well just pee on her

    2. Best fashion moment of the night - Chuck's basketball attire, Serena's "dress" at the co-op party, or the "OMJC" shirts at Georgina's camp?

Def Chuck's: how the guy can rock a Juicy Couture's tracky is beyond my understanding...

    3. Harder to believe: The distance between NYU and Columbia constituting a long-distance relationship, Lily and friends forking over cash in minutes in this economy, or any scene involving Vanessa?

Lily and friends: come on, not even a credit history check? Oh, and the worst quote ever was Rufus saying knowingly (and with the acting credibility of a primary school's pupil during his first perfomance starring in Cinderella) "making money while doing good"

    4. Should Rufus propose to Lily?

He'll propose, but anyone with a bit of tv show's knowledge can tell that he's going to end up with Vanessa in S3

    5. Should Blair move in with Nate?

    Urgh, no!!!!

BONUS QUESTION: What do you predict will happen next in the Serena-Poppy-Gabriel saga?

Form the promo: Serena will uncover Gabriel's scheme, but Poppy has the money. In an attempt to retrive Rufus' money, the gang will enroll Georgina's help to frame Poppy.
  6. Gossip Girl Caption Contest 48

    Grandfather: Are you sure?
Blair: yes, how many times do I have to tell you?
Grandfather: and you won't tell anyone
    Blair: No
Grandfather: Ok, then, let's meet in front of Victrola next Monday. I'll bring my special fishnet stockings and my stilettos
Blair: I'll have the stage ready for you. The owner of the place owns me a favour...
  7. Nate and Blair vs. Chuck and Blair: Submit Your Argument!

    Age: 33
    Voted for: Chair
    status: happily married.
Martina, stop being so judgemental. It's fine if you want to ship Nair, but your argument was on the verge of being patronising. A lot of teenagers are not superficial, are not unobjective. I'm a teacher (and my students introduced me to GG, damned them...) and I sincerely do hope young people will grow up still believing that a relationship doesn't mean comfort, but passion and fun as well. Oh, and by the way, this is a teen show (I realize that even if I watch it, but what can I say? I always loved teen shows) so what's your point in saying that the writers are going to put together Chair for satisfying the teen market? Who else would they listen to? deluded adults?
  8. Gossip Girl Opening Credits: Pick the Best!

Wow, those are really well done (even if all of them have a 90's feeling to them), but I must say I like the fact that GG has no opening credits, like all the majors tv shows don't (lost, heroes). I love buying dvd boxsets, and after a while opening credits get boring, especially if you watch more than two episodes in a row. Other than that, have you noticed that Vanessa is ignored in most of the videos?
  9. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Stephanie Savage on Chair, Nair & Jack

Wow, I have come to realise that all the Nair fans meet on this site! I just finished reading other threads and posts on other sites, and there is not a single (ok, maybe one or two) Nair fan, everyone is seriuosly pissed with the writers and want Chair. I can understand why people like Nair, but I can't understand why you think that what is happening now is good television. Let me explain: I personally love Chair, but I thought that their last encounters (e.g. Chuck meeting Blair at school for telling her that her and Nate have no fireworks, or vene the take me now scene) were very bad television. Their relationship has not been developed properly since Jack Bass appeared on the scene, and no matter how much I love their characters, the Elle SL and the Yale SL were simply lame. I don't like Nair now because their SL is so obviously bad written: the idea of them being together for comfort and need of security saddens me, and I don't watch tv for being sad! Why was Nate suddendly so cold with Vanessa? Why did Dorota, who clearly shipped Chuck, helped Nate? Why Nate had to ask Dorota which was Blair's favourite spot, for God's sake, you have been with the girl since you were 14, I could have told you that it was the duck's pond! Even if I can understand why Blair is suddendly so needy and childish, after everything that happened to her, I can't understand Nate at all. He even said to Vanessa "If you wanted to be more like Blair Waldorff, you've succeded". What was that? An insult? Not very nice on your new GF... So Nair is going to end, and the result will be people not watching the next four episodes because they can't stand Nair, maybe catching up with the dvds. If you don't believe me go and have a look at other threads. Stephanie had to do this interview to control the damage and reassure Chair fans that they are going to be together, but we are not so stupid: Steph, face it, you screwed it badly, even if Chair happens and you write an amazing season 3 the last 5 episodes of this season were just plainly boring. You could have put back Nair together in a nicer, more intersting way. Or not. Because, as Kirby stated so well, we are calling them Nair because they stink.
  10. More Photos From the Gossip Girl Set

Mmh... maybe, but I saw a lot of pictures on spoiler tv showing Blair pretty sad on the stairs with Serena: why the hell would she be sad if not because she has problems with Nate? I don't think her prom will be as happy as some of her pictures with Nate hints, either she ends up with Chuck or alone. But other then that, you know what? I just hope the writers find an original solution! I'm sick of prom's plots where everyone goes to the prom with someone and then ends up alone/with someone else... but Josh already confirmed that the prom episode will include a "realtionship's roulette which will involve every couple" so no, I don't belive it will be a happy episode for Nair...
  11. More Photos From the Gossip Girl Set

I'm pretty sure that that is the prom as well, but if things are going to go as I think they will, Josh has some money to give to the authors of Dawson Creek... I presume Blair and Nate will be crowned prince and princess, but she'll realise that her prince is someone else, less perfect maybe, but still her love...
  12. Gossip Girl Round Table: "Remains of the J"

    1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
Chuck: "too bad it's not a reality show, or I could boot you off" to Dan (or something like this)

    2. Favorite failed Kelly Rutherford pregnancy-concealing device: flowy orange top, sitting awkwardly with knees on sofa, or standing far away with huge coat in the lobby?

Actually, the contorsionist like movement she made when standing up after she was sitting with knees on sofa, telling Rufus and Dan "I'm going to get changed", while covering her bump, pivoting on one leg for swirling around and immediatly walking off scene showing only her back

    3. Who was most at fault for the party debacle, Serena or Jenny?

Serena. Not only for blatantly ignoring Jenny's request, but for even thinking that that party would be cool. The fact that 1) it was suggested by someone sporting an ideous wag like hairdo and b) your mum described it as delightful should have made her realise that that party was something CeCe would have found fun.
    4. Do Nate and Blair have a spark?

Please. The guy would make a bottle of French sparkling water still as Evian

    5. Will Chuck and Vanessa hook up again?
No. But the fact that they did will create (surprise surprise) new problems for Chair

BONUS QUESTION: How did Scott find Dan, and what is he after?

He read Dan's piece in The New Yorker and he's after advice from the author: obviously that is a coincidence that can happen only in GG world (plus, isn't Scott like at least two years older than Dan? Why does he still live home? Why the hell does his father answer his mobile phone?)
  13. Gossip Girl Episode Recap, Music, Pictures & More!

Ok, I have finally discovered that
    1) whoever hooks up with Chuck becomes immediatly funny, interesting and an enjoyable character. I really liked Vanessa in the last episode, even if I don't like her hooking up with Chuck she was finally part of the OMFG world and sexi. And stop saying that it's unbelievable that she and Chuck would sleep together, watch again the episode where Chuck accepts Blair' s proposal to destroy V it will be clear to you as well that the two had a connection. Oh, and V had a nice dress for once.
    2) Whoever hooks up with Nate becomes boring, winy and unimportant: poor Blair was umberable, her lines were lame, she didn't spark, she acted like a deluded 5 years old. I'm not speaking about Nair (which was like the worst ever coupling: Blair, you are not a 40 something divorcée who is afraid to be alone for the rest of her life, you can do better)I'm talking about Blair Blair. She was sooooo boring. And her dress at Jenny's party was soo last season, including her hairdo.
  14. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Vanessa and Chuck

I think it was pretty clear from the episode where Blair asked Chuck to seduce and destroy V that their SL wasn't over, otherwise Vanessa's long look at Chuck going away from the brooklyn bar wouldn't have had any sense. So, I guess they are going to hook up for two reasons: 1) make Blair and Nate jealous 2) give their "history" a closure (it was pretty evident that there was an attraction). I wonder though if Chuck is going to be honest with Blair about it in the future...
  15. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Season Finale Cliffhanger(s)

If we have to give credit to what Kristin said one week ago, the cliffhangers should concern Nate and Serena (remember when she said that the writers took on some advice given by the tv guide?). If Chair is trasformed again into a cliffhanger I'm giving up, and maybe (but only if I like what I read on this site) I'm going to buy season 3 only as a dvd box set, because I can't stand another season like this one.
  16. The State of Gossip Girl

As sad as it may seem, I think the writers have already ruined Chair and, consequently, scared away a lot of viewers, who I'm not sure will watch again season 3 even if C and B end up together at the end of season 2. The game has been so boring that I sometimes wonder if maybe it would have been better to show us Chuck and Blair actually going to the movies. As for the whole "who will she chose" that is going on now, frankly, who cares? There is almost no one who is impartial to whom Blair will end up with, there are either very angry Chair fans or very devoted Nair fans, and neither of them are going to be hooked up: we will have a lot of Chair fans skipping episodes because they can't stand Nair or deluded Nair fans rightfully angry because their couple is "used" towards Chair. Am I saying that all the show's problems are connected to C and B? Frankly, yes. I have read many threads stating that we don't have to concentrate only on those two characters, but the writers have done such a poor job with the others that the only thing that can save the show are Blair and Chuck at the moment: no one can stand Vanessa, and misteriously she was signed up for next season as well, Nate's SL have been lame, maybe thanks to Chace's absymal acting as well, Jenny is not even in some episodes (or it seems like she is not...) and Dan has been reduced to an extra, and I have a strong feeling that we will not see much of him from now till the end of the season, if not as a filler. Go back to the roots, writers, take the 6 characters we love and work on them (Chuck, Blair, Serena, Jenny, Dan, Nate, preferably in this order...), give Jessica the sack and come back with the OMFG
  17. Gossip Girl Spinoff May Cross Paths with The OC

Jimmy and Kirsten are not from NY, but the spin off will be based in LA anyway. I have watched only the first season of the OC, so I'm not that intrigued, but I will definetly watch the spin off, at least the first episodes, just to see if I like it. I can't understand why some GG fans are so bothered: if you don't like the idea don't watch it, but how can this mean anything bad for GG? It's not like Stephanie and Josh don't work on other projects as well as on GG (see Chuck). I don't know, it's seems kind of silly. And Marissa, no, the spin off won't be a reality tv show (?!?!), it will be a proper fiction show. Where did you get the idea from?
  18. Gossip Girl Caption Contest 43

    ah ah love QueenB4ever's!
  19. Gossip Girl Caption Contest 43

Blair: What do you mean you're giving me your resignation letter because you've been accepted to Yale thanks to a EU students' grant?????
  20. Extended Promo of "The Grandfather"

What is there remained to say? either
    a) we already sorted everything out (Nair, Chuck and Vanessa teaming against Nair, Blair and Carter, Blair breaking, Serena shipping Chair)
    b) The writers are sooo clever and actually nothing of the above will happen. I somehow doubt it.
Also, we know everything or almost up untill Remains of the J, when there will be a two weeks break, leaving us with plenty of time to work out the clues for the upcoming episodes. I repeat myself: next.year.avoid.hyatuses
  21. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Fun Work Ahead For Chace, Blake

Thanks! I wonder now who is going to use it! Chuck????
  22. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Fun Work Ahead For Chace, Blake

Can someone explain to me what exactly roofie mean? Thanks!! At first I thought is was something to do with a roof (with Chuck loving roofs' tops), but then someone suggested it means something related to drugs?
  23. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Fun Work Ahead For Chace, Blake

If they really got together, I'm really curious to see what they are going to talk about: can you imagine how interesting can be a conversation between such airheadeds? "Look a flower!" "ohhhhh". :) Just kidding, I actually quite like the idea.
  24. Are Nate-Blair-Chuck Kissing Photos Just a Ruse?

Oh, I just had a look at V and C pictures: I actually can't say if they are real pictures from the episode or Ed and Jessica playing around while shooting, but I'm pretty sure that if they are indeed real, they are part of a scheme for making Nate and Blair jeloaus, expecially because both C and V are wearing the same outfits they are wearing in the promo scene when V tells C off for staring at her boobs, so I doubt you rebuff someone (that you actually can't stand) and then go on kissing him 5 minutes later...
  25. Are Nate-Blair-Chuck Kissing Photos Just a Ruse?

Plus, I have just finished seeing the new video, and what it's seems really strange is that both Chuck and Nate scene start with Blair walking down the pavement towards them, and with the two guys waiting for her leaning on the limo. So, basically, it's the same scene, minus the gifts. So, how is it possible that they are both real??? Does Blair arrive twice at the same party?
