Jeremy is dead because Elena had a plan. Killing the only vampire that was making any sense (and 1000's of innocent vampires) was a brilliant plan. All for a cure that was made 1000 years before the original witch had a brilliant plan. As if that cure would actually work on a future witch's spell??? Do these vampires have brains?? Why would Silas suffer the hunter's curse? He is not a vampire, he is an immortal from 1000 years before the originals. A totally different spell by a Bennett ancestor, not a Mikealson wannabe.
@youngnan
I get and understand what you are saying, and I also agree. Where I do not agree is your assumption that because of a character name the actor has to be African American. The description we have been given leads me to a different assumption (neither of us actually know at this time). If Marcel were going to be a new vampire I would make the same assumption as you. Since he is an old vampire I cannot agree, it would not make historical sense.
Of course making sense is a stretch with Julie Plec, because Haley should already be dead. There is no way Klaus would have let her live after unsiring his hybrids. Keeping Tyler alive so he doesn't lose Caroline forever is a big enough stretch.
@cacherr1
You also need to remember the description for Marcel. He was Klaus' protege at the time Klaus was part of founding New Orleans. So today's demographic has nothing to do with when Klaus and Marcel meet. At that time blacks were still slaves, a black man would not have been very helpful in helping Klaus and the originals in founding New Orleans. Marcel has to be a Cajun to fit this story, at thew time they meet.
I've never been to New Orleans, I'm an Acadian from Massachusetts. So when I hear of NO the first thing I think of is my Cajun cousins, and Marcel would be a Cajun name.
@youngnan This spinoff takes place in New Orleans, and Marcel is a very old French name. Go to Canada and you will only see white Marcels, I would expect the same from our Louisiana Cajun cousins.
As for VD witches being African American that is because of the importance of the Bennett line in their story. I would hope the Bennetts would not be important in this story also.
@HellyJelly Saving Hope will still be on in Canada. It is a shorter season with a different filming schedule then full season CW shows. There is only a few weeks filming overlap, the last few weeks of CW filming and the first few weeks for Saving Hope. At least that is how it was last year.
@kevin ""The Originals," which would center around the adventures of Klaus in contemporary New Orleans and also feature Phoebe Tonkin's Hayley."
Contemporary is not a different time period. Plus should Klaus die, so does the rest of the cast, so no more Vampire Diaries. Had there been no Phoebe Tonkin in the Secret Circle, I might have missed it this year, but because she was in it I did not miss it at all.
I no longer trust Julie Plec either, it would be much better if she was not anywhere near this spinoff. I am so over the triangle and only watch for the originals (nowhere near enough Elijah or Kol, hopefully they would be co stars and on every week). Keep Stefan and Caroline in Mystic Falls.
Anne's secret is about giving up a baby for adoption. It makes no sense to keep that from Bobby, he would be very understanding and help her track it down if she wanted. The only reason to keep it secret is that she has already tracked him down and it is Christopher. Which would also explain her reaction to Christopher's initial reaction to finding out about the baby with his wife/adopted unknown cousin.
In USA nelson ratings yeap! But that is far from accurate. They have 13 million unique Facebook likes worldwide, and not everyone does Facebook likes. So your rantings to the couple hundred of us that are here means NOTHING to the yes millions of others.
Where there really 13 episodes this season? It went by so fast it only seemed like only maybe 6 to me. So I surely do want much more. I did miss Kate's Wizard of OZ ring tones though.
I remember the days of network mini series, they were always popular. A heck of a lot more popular than all these darned hiatuses they throw at us now. Even here on a cable network where there was no real advertising that most people would have seen. It had ratings the networks would kill for. Not to mention that it was also a very good show.
TSC just didn't have the right formula for the CW, it was lucky to get one season. 4 female witches to 2 males will never last on the CW. Had they killed one of the females instead of Nick when they brought in Jake, it might have stayed another season.
What Elijah had actually said was "our mother bore 7 children". Which would have given us a maximum of 9 original vampires. We now know the mother never became one, nor the child that died of the plague in Europe, nor Heinrik since he also died. So Mikael, Elijah, Finn, Kol, Niklaus, and Rebekah are the only original vampires. The original Petrova girl being the mother or a sister never made sense, so thank God that speculation is finally dead...
No, you misunderstood that. What he meant was that Carol Lockwood was not born a Lockwood, she married one. The way he said it means that she is not even from one of the founding families. She only learned of the vampires and the town council after she married. Unlike Bill Forbes which grew up in it, and his family has been involved for 150 years.
Of course there is going to be a redemption island duel next week. Right now they have 2 people too many for the jury. The 2 that lose next week are out, after that the losers join the jury.
Michael tweeted yesterday afternoon from Chicago, that he was on his way to the airport. So he was there from Saturday until Tuesday. These interviews were Tuesday.
