I have to agree completely with the reviewer. I guess I thought I would enjoy it more than I did! But the instances where Don Cheadle speaks to the camera was simply put - annoying! All of those excess sex/nudity scenes were really not necessary. Seemed a bit superfluous to me.
I know it's trying to be edgy, but I just don't know if the writers quite have it yet. I feel like this could possibly develop into something good, so I might stick around for a few more episodes. But I can't make any promises.
Great episode! I love this show, and it was a perfect way to end the season. Everything great about a Leverage episode was covered here! Nate's ex-wife was a nice surprise! I love Kari Matchett!
I definitely think they should keep the cave! To hear Eliot get all excited about an "Eliot Signal" was just AWESOME! I love Parker and Hardison and I'm glad Parker and Archie shared that touching moment! :) She is just too darn cute!
Interesting episode! Excited about the mysterious HOT stranger! But I...well I don't want him to be Emma's new love interest. BRING GRAHAM BACK! *sigh* The blind witch was ridiculously creepy! She reminded me a little of the witches from the movie Hocus Pocus except without the comedic element. I'm glad Emma shared Henry's theory about her being Snow White (Mary Margaret's) child and I can't wait to see how their relationship develops/changes. I love Henry and all the scenes he has with Emma. I think they have really great chemistry. :)
I am really sad about Colette and Dean! I really liked Colette and wanted good things for her. She is a girl you bring home to your parents and Dean did!
Kate can't quit. Her story line is one of the more interesting ones. Although Maggie's and Laura's are definitely picking up. Congressman Rawlins is absolutely charming. I definitely get his appeal, even though he might be a "death monger"!
I'm a little disappointed that the show wasn't picked up, but I can't say that I'm going to be devastated.
IT'S BACK!! After watching the long awaited return of White Collar I am excited to have Neil Caffrey back in my life. Although this episode was a little short on wit, the intensity definitely kept everything going.
I already knew Mozzie cared about Elizabeth or should I say Mrs. Suit, but when Mozzie basically admitted that he cared about Peter it made my eyes light up.
Dekay did an amazing job as Peter this episode. I enjoyed seeing all the different sides of his character in one episode, and I'm glad to see a little Neal has rubbed off on him.
The lead into the the next episode is a little worrisome, because I agree with Delena - Neal shouldn't completely reform! A lot of the essence of his character and intrigue is based on his thiefing ways. But I do have faith in him being a good person. Can't wait till next week!
"Girly Moment Alert: when Dean told Colette he didn't take Bridget to meet his parents because something about her wasn't real, but after two weeks he knew what he has with Colette was. My hands went to my face and I gasped like a lovelorn teenager. Even though I know love isn't like it's portrayed on television, a part of me can still be whisked away with the dream that it be so."
I think the writers of OUAT are very clever. I really like that everything in linked in some fashion or another.
I can't get enough of Josh Dallas! OH MY GOD...Can I keep him?! When David smiled at Mary Marget right outside her classroom while he was telling her where to meet him I almost fell out of my chair!!
Definitely glad Emma found out that the Sheriff is sleeping with Regina. It definitely looked like her eyes begin to water a little - she had to have been crushing a little.
I missed Henry in this episode. But Regina, that conniving little....., man she knows what she's doing. She does such a good job making me not like her.
I agree with other commenters about the prince's death - WHOA! seriously out of no where and about really feeling bad for Mary Margaret. I knew that they wouldn't get together this early in the season, but that doesn't mean I didn't tear up when it all went down!
I really want to know what Snow did to the Queen?!?!?!?
The facial expression exchange between the Sheriff and Mayor Regina was brilliant! So much was said in their faces. As a matter of fact, a lot of this show expresses much more in their facial expressions than other shows, which I really like!
I enjoyed Jiminy's story! All of it - his terrible parents, the little boy being Geppetto, the horrific nature of that potion - all of it!!! I'm glad it went full circle, AND I'm glad he stood up to Regina.
Snow/Mary Margaret's story is incredibly heart breaking. I wish I could fix things for her! It's just so sad. But the chemistry between Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas is really something special! I love it!
I like the complexities of the show. I always find myself trying to piece together stories. It not only keeps me intrigued but also makes me feel like a couch potato/zombie!
Sure this episode wasn't a in your face, revelation type episode, but I think that's okay. If too much is revealed all at once it would be hard to keep up with all the different stories of the house. This was a light episode, which after three heavy episodes, was much appreciated.
I know I'm supposed to hate him, but when Ben's dark nature shines at Larry's apartment I can't help but think how sexy he is! BUT, perhaps that's just the girl in me!
The transition between young and old Moira is just so seamless. The actresses work really well together and it really feels like they are one person - which it should!
I'm just waiting till I watch the next episode...Rubber Man. I hope the title of the episode doesn't lead to disappointment!
I have been a fan of Psych since I can remember! I'm pretty sure I've watched the seasons available on Netflix 5 times EACH! So far this season has delivered great plots and even better guest stars!
Gus falling in love with yet another crazy girl is absolute gold! His comment about coming back from the dead as her peach scarf rather than black Michael Jackson was hilarious!
Dot was an amazingly creepy cult follower!! I love that she was basically pouring chocolate chip pancake batter on Shawn in her naughty dream! And Juliet's face while Shawn tried to defend himself about washing her underwear. They work so well together!! (I'm glad they're together in real life too :)!!)
I think the big reveal at the end was a little lacking in the dramatic flare that I know Shawn possesses, but I think because this episode was more about Gus being ridiculous they toned down Shawn a bit. All I know is if I could have a friend like either of them I would be one lucky girl! :)
This was a great episode and I agree with this review!
I'm glad Brick was back this episode. I like that there is a friendly rivalry as you say! It keeps things interesting.
I like watching Zoe change and care more and more for the people in Bluebell! I also like seeing Wade change. I think Zoe is good for him, and their chemistry is undeniable! I knew it wasn't going to happen this episode but I couldn't help but yell at the tv "JUST GO TO FREAKIN' AIRPORT WITH THE KID!!!!!" They are just too cute!
Lemon, Lemon, Lemon! Boy, she is really growing on me! I am so glad she stood up to the Tucker's in George's defense, even if their characters are a bit unrealistic and over-the-top.
p.s. I enjoyed all of your well placed pirate puns! :)
FINALLY! This episode Winston becomes an actual character on the show for me. Up till this episode I considered him a recurring extra! I'm glad he was finally given a chance to show that he has some substance and not on the show by association.
The Nick/Schmidt squabble was as Dan Forcella said exactly like the "Code War" Max and Dave had in Happy Endings. I think I would have to agree with Dan - Adam Pally brought his scenes to whole other level because he's a hilarious actor! In this episode I laughed more at things that were said versus things that were done.
I did miss Jess, but I'm glad that they were able to showcase her in a more reasonable light. It makes sense that she would be a teacher based on her compassion for people alone.
Excited for Justin Long's guest appearance next episode! :) He is adorable!
This review was fantastic, thank you! It expressed/covered everything that went through my mind while watching this finale.
One addition would probably be that while seeing Danielle outside of her kitchen was nice she did start to wear on my nerves a little. You know your sister works for the CIA - if she tells you to do stuff in that kind of tone you just do it! Haven't you seen a single spy movie/television in your life?! Granted she just recently found out this HUGE thing in her sister's life. I just hope that as time goes on next season she will become more understanding of her sister's situation.
I'm excited about the romantic future for Auggie and Annie. I know that nothing will happen right away, but knowing that there is going to be this slow build up will be good enough for me. When the series started I immediately saw the chemistry they had and thought that they should hook-up, but figured it wouldn't happen because they're supposed to be best friends. But now that a romantic future is on the table - well it's makes my cheeks hurt from smiling!
Jai is quickly becoming a character I love to hate. He is one sneaky guy! Going after Joan's job? WOW! Like father like son huh?
Overall, season 2 came to a good end and I can't wait for season 3!!!
In this episode the plot with George, Wade, and Lemon was very enjoyable. Lemon was absolutely adorable!! Of course her character is normally annoying...she's trying to cover up part of her true self. She has to put on a front for everyone because that's what she is expected to do. She is Lemon Breeland after all. I think with time she will be able to find a middle ground between being so high-strung/overly mature and being free-spirited/charming. I think for now, we're supposed to not like her so we can wish for her and George to breakup. I am enjoying that little bits and pieces of her and slowly coming out.
Zoe didn't do it for me this episode. I love her, don't get me wrong, and I think Rachel did amazing as always with what she was given. But her agreeing with Gigi and putting together that ridiculously over-the-top party and really thinking that the people in Bluebell will like it, well...that was just stupid - which in turn caused my disappointment. I understand they did it to show Zoe's character growth, I just didn't love the way they decided to show it. I did, however, love how she defended a fanny pack! :)
I was kind of hoping that Judson would be a viable option for just a little bit longer. Just something to fill the romance void. I DEFINITELY want the slow build for George or Wade, but a little something to hold me down until then would have been nice.
All of the other characters are very charming to say the least. I like that Annabeth is a "mean girl" just as Lemon normally is. I like that the old lady is just confused and frustrated with the drink and the fact that there was no chicken fingers. And I LOVED LOVED LOVED Shelley and her jealousy. Her line was probably one of my favorites in the whole episode. That and pretty much everything Wade says. It's like the man spits out gems!
WHERE'S BRICK?! He's supposed to be the town doctor? How many fishing or hunting trips can a man take? Also, he's super into football, why wouldn't he be there for the town homecoming game? Anyway, I'm excited for the next episode Lavon and Wade in pirate costume...bring it on!! :)
I love how quirky yet charming this show is! It's been a while since I watched this episode so I don't have much to contribute, but I will say that I am definitely on the Jess and Nick train as long as it takes its time before it pulls into the station.
I have to agree this has been the weakest episode so far. Although, as much as I like feeling complete at the end of an episode I think I like the open-ended scene at the end of this one.
To be honest I continue to watch the show because of how much I enjoy Eddie and I hope that they expand his role more. He is truly enjoyable to watch. I also love Nick and feel like he's doing the best with what he's been given.
I'm interested in finding out more about Captain Renard and his back story, but more so because of the mystery behind it.
I will say, as a person who finds herself able to develop emotional connections to characters fairly easily, I don't feel super connected yet - which is actually pretty shocking for me. I love the dynamic with Nick and Eddie and the fantastical elements of the story, but right now that's about it. My feelings are still pretty superficial.
