@rationalgal so visualize recruits suckers and rj then recruits his minions from among those visualize suckers and turns them into killers. then stiles takes the visualize recruits turned killer rj minions and plants them in powerful positions as enforcers. this allows stiles and rj to go about their business. that hangs together. of course, i'm about to ask why the hell would stiles?...or why on earth would rj? -- but the answer is, because they're f*cking nuts, that's why. it's not deeper than that, huisclothes only stiles doesn't seem nuts to me. but maybe when they turn up rj, neither will he. stiles seems to do what he does for money and power. if there's killing, it's a necessary evil. rj likes killing and he wants power. stiles needs rj for violence? and rj needs stiles for money? but you believe rj underwrote visualize's start? rj being a rich orphaned kid makes sense. one of stiles's most loyal, most generous recruits? stiles fathered him a bit? could be.

@pahometowner novice? about what? :D

@watcher you're probably right. certainly bruno (mr. truth) has made a point of that. though lisbon did help bosco conceal the murder of a guy who he couldn't get any other way. this would ask her to do what sam bosco did.

Huisclothes

@watcher wow, you're right. it is dexter-like. tm has another major thread going that's very dexter-like. the fact that his sister, debra killed la guerta. more overt. but very much the same issues that lisbon is encountering in aligning herself with jane. makes me think, maybe lisbon will go way off the reservation for jane and kill someone who might thwart his search or arrest his for his criminal acts so far? she makes herself a killer for jane.

@rationalgal. absolutely, no professional writer wants to risk getting permeated by an idea from a viewer. that's why the writer's guild adjudicates so much of this stuff every year. if you make that kind of mistake and use something even unconsciously, if it can be proven, the law can come in and take your children. even just looking at someone's portfolio, i had to make sure that before i opened it, they had nothing in there that was in a similar category or on a similar topic to what i was working on for exactly that reason.
@estatica and rationalgal you're right the interview with bruno isn't really a lie.
also, rationalgal, agree about mancini. something very primeval about the guy. couldn't see him with lisbon. just that shot of him swaggering off with the hotel mgr. perp. you don't come back from being that jerky.

Huisclothes

@rationalgal couple of questions. why did the number of rj minions explode after rj killed jane's family? when kirkland asks lennon if he recognizes him, are you saying that kirkland was hoping to be seen as an rj honcho and was miffed when lennon didn't have a clue? i always ask this but what does visualize really want with rj? wouldn't seem like they had that many brutal killings they needed done and they could launder their own money. would think they'd want to minimize the link. but maybe they have and that's why we can't discern it. the kristina frye idea is thought-provoking. if he loves her, isn't rj spiting himself with the coma? lisbon becoming the object of rj's sadism toward jane is always cool. maybe patrick will orchestrate a rift to protect her. jane should date a series of criminal women who deserve to die as bait for rj. also, rj must die.

@pahometowner thanks for your support of my flights of fancy. must admit i was going through turmoil until lorelei announced she was red john's girl. then i was happy having her around and don't see why they killed her.
bruno always has to walk the line between listening to the viewers and i'm sure network execs and keeping his vision intact. most focus groups would vote that hamlet wind up not being dead at the end of the play. and i know it's really hideous to have to listen to people rewrite your work -- sure my ideas are just as wince-worthy as the rest of the population. i trust the man who made jane to make the right choices and i hope he ignores most of what he hears and reads.

@pahometowner is the video the one with the song, smile, smile, smile? lyrics, "you don't have to have money to make it in this world. you don't have to be skinny, baby, if you want to be my girl." if so, i love that and grin like an idiot through the whole thing. no doubt simon won the genetic lottery - something beyond nice features (lots of guys with that) just this animal magnetism that jumps out of the screen. sex appeal, i think they call it.:D and the face is so masculine. very complex. (a la steve mcqueen) not a manicured pretty boy like 99.9% of all the actors out there. have you seen simon years ago on jon stewart, the daily show? i think he caused an uproar among the women on the staff. what stewart says to him when he comes out is hilarious.

@rationalgal i am basking in the intoxicating scent of eau de creative in these comments.:D great thinking. need time to digest.

hi all.
here's a question. bertram and kirkland have something going that they'd like to share with lisbon. as it probably isn't "we want to do something awful to patrick, want in?" it has to be something they could reasonably expect she might be ok with and that their little meeting could ascertain whether she would. bertram's opening gambit was something like, i've always respected you as a professional (yeah, gail? even when you almost fired me?) he goes on to say that when it comes to lorelei martins, jane can't be trusted. lisbon says i'm not sure you're right. bertram was hoping she'd say, wow, you are so right. still hopeful, bertram then goes on to rattle her cage with the what were those two doing with the house all to themselves. lisbon clams up. what were they hoping they could let her in on?
