  1. Mad Men Review: Dueling Pitches

More on Megan, the mis-carriage was also well done. Her character seemed a little too perfect last season but giving her goals and dreams, which she's determined to stick to, has really given her some depth.

Stan shouldn't have told Peggy anything, but going for Ketchup was all on Pete. Pete seems to have lost his edge when it comes to business. His stunt with Jaguar has stuck them with a client who thinks he can ask for the moon. Don was right, they didn't need to win it like that. Now he's double crossing a client, badly, because he found out. Stan working on Ketchp in a closet? Really? Think people wouldn't notice? Come on! I remember when they stole a company out from the people they sold it to. But they can't manage one secret pitch?
  2. Mad Men Review: Dueling Pitches

My question about Don is this, why is he suddenly feeling bad?

He never felt bad about cheating on Betty. I think he was more truthful in the last ep, when he was explaining very clearly to Sylvia exactly what they were doing. The look in his eyes over that tense dinner was more Don-like than we've seen him in a while.

Don thinks of his life as 3 separate parts, work, home, and play. He's never mixed the 3, until Megan was at work with him and now with Sylvia living in his building. I think when those worlds collide, despite his best efforts, is when the drama happens. Like when Betty finds out that Bobbi Barrett has been sleeping with her husband. Megan needs to find out about Sylvia, it's so close to home. It's the only way to save this slow moving season in my mind.

Sidenote, Jessica Pare has won me over on a difficult character this season. Megan had very little substance last season but the scene after Don storms her set was wonderful. She sold me and I'm now hoping for sweet revenge for her.
  3. Mad Men Review: Dueling Pitches

I agree that Joan should have talked to Harry before firing Scarlett but she should have been fired, she DID steal from the company. She clocked in for wages she did not earn. That's stealing. The office management has always fallen to Joan, hence her surprise when someone interferes. She doesn't realize that she's in different territory now. She's basically taken Lane's job, she's a female partner and men will get jealous. Harry has the hots for Scarlett, which was part of his reaction but he's been fuming for a while now. I understand his response, he is under valued but acting like a child and storming into a meeting is NO way to earn respect.
  4. Mad Men Review: "The Collaborators"

All I'll say about Pete's marriage is; GO TRUDY. It's about time. She kicked ass.

Also, can we PLEASE get updated on Joan! I feel like they keep bringing her in and teasing us, only to cut to Don being a miserable prick. We get it. More Joan please. I'm not asking for anything more than a couple of scenes to check in.

I have to say, this season seems a little aimless. Like there's no real stakes. We all know that Don is a cheater, we've seen this played out. Where's the story of this season? Don and Pete eat up all the screen time while being miserable assholes?
  5. Mad Men Review: "The Collaborators"

I have to say, I'm over Emo Don. He's treating Megan pretty badly. I get that he's sick of her, but what the hell brought this on? It can't just be her career, she's literally just as sweet to him as she was before, even though she's quite ignorant of his darker nature. Don has never been the greatest husband but he even treated Betty better. When Betty got pregnant, he stood by her, placing his hand on hers as a symbol they'd do it together. Megan tells him that she lost a baby, pretty scary for a 26 year old woman, and he doesn't even change expression. In previous seasons, you could root for Don, because even though he screwed up a lot, he had a heart. This new Don is cold.
  6. Mad Men Review: "The Collaborators"

I like that there's attack on men in this
review, when in fact, Sylvia is just as much
to blame as Don. She could have said no at
any point. But, as many have before her, she
put in the order. So to speak. She should
meet Rachel Menken and Faye Miller, those
are two opinionated women that both
got screwed over by Don. Side note, did
anyone else find it heartless that Sylvia
listened to Megan's heartbreak, only to
make the concious choice to screw her
husband the next evening? In that case,
both men and women are pigs.
  7. Switched at Birth Review: Retreat!

Noah's storyline is cool. And I can understand why he didn't want to tell anyone about his ailment, after Bay found out she started neurotically worrying about him. That would get annoying really fast. He's obviously going to fall for Daphne while Bay falls for him. Which is great because Daphne and Bay always have great love triangles. Those two actresses do a wonderful job with drama.

Just as I was starting to like Melody. Her speech to Daphne was badass. I get she's hurt that her friend can't sign but to say that she's doing it on purpose was WAY over the line. Melody's hate of hearing people is becoming over the top. Isn't acceptance amongst hearing and deaf people the goal of any teacher or parent? Guess not.
  8. Switched at Birth Review: Retreat!

Angelo lied to Bay directly, after she defended him. He also lied about being a fugitive. Adrianna doesn't like him because her daughter used to get drunk with him, an old bias. Angelo also failed to tell Regina that he impregnated another woman, while trying to re-new a relationship with her. I think the point the writers are trying to get across is that Angelo isn't honest. He's the guy that looks like he's going to deliver all of these amazing things and fails to do so. We get that he's trying but he just doesn't seem to be able to be truthful. Ignore Kathryn and John, they're always judgmental. Remember what they used to say about Regina?

I think Bay has every reason to hesitate about getting back together with Emmett. They just started being friends again. I thought it was very mature of her not to jump into a relationship she wasn't ready for. I understand Emmett's hurt but Bay's got a lot going on.
  9. Switched at Birth Review: Get Your $6 Taco Here!

I think you guys missed the point.

John's an idiot, so ignore him.

But Daphne's hand outs backfired. Just because they were from a poor neighborhood, doesn't mean they appreciated it. The businesses suffered more from her help than they gained from it. Not everyone who needs welfare sits on their asses and not all of them are unemployed either. Sometimes people just need a little bit of help but pity is not something they want or need. As Travis demonstrated. I think Daphne is feeling like she's losing part of her identity. She used to live where they were. She wanted to help. I don't think we should discourage awareness for those who are struggling just because we aren't sure how to fix it. Maybe you're Republican, maybe you're Democratic but the bottom line is that normal, hard working families are having a tough time. The stigma that you have to be a lazy, drug addicted, waste of skin in order to need some kind relief is a stigma that needs to end

How we fund that relief, how we give it out are two very complicated questions but I don't think we should give up on figuring it out. No matter who you vote for.
  11. Switched at Birth Review: A Fresh Start

As for Daphne, have you ever been in love with the wrong person and then let the rest of your life fall to pieces over it? Yup, so have I. I was never the biggest fan of Melody but her wake up call to Daphne was great.

Daphne's blow up to Travis was natural, she was hurting. I think Travis get's that and Daphne not only apologized but she actively tried to make it up to him by making him his first home cooked meal in a long time.

Bay, was pretty funny this week actually. I liked her attempts at being the "good girl". BUT the girl needs friends for crying out loud. Other than Emmett. I guess filming kids at a private school location was getting expensive, because she's making the switch.

Regina, for the love of God! Get it together.

Kathryn and John, in politics. UGH.

Toby felt like he owed it to his sister to tell her the truth. Angelo had no right to put that kind of responsibility on a teenager. Also, Toby's loyal to his sister first, not just some man he met a couple of months ago.
  12. Switched at Birth Review: A Fresh Start

Angelo left Regina because he thought she was cheating on him, makes sense. Daphne was proven not to be his and they didn't have much trust for each other back then. Fair enough. But the kicker in this one is that he's refusing to take responsibility for yet another child. DNA test, fair, trying to buy the mother off in order to avoid raising a baby he helped create, deadbeat. He's trying to hide the fact that he's going to have a child so he can jump on the "Happy Family" wagon when he never earned it. He's pulling a Gatsby, trying to re-create a memory and then live it out like the past never happened. I don't think he's this evil monster but I can understand why they'd all be overly sensitive to his actions. After all, he's lied to them before. He was a fugitive for crying out loud!
  13. Cute Dan and Serena Picture

Penn's not acting, he's just trying to keep a straight face when looking at what Blake is wearing. Either that or he may be in physical pain from trying to look at her.
  14. Waldorf Designs Show

    Finally! Something Blair would do!
  15. Kristen Bell to Appear on Gossip Girl Finale

I love Kristen Bell, big Veronica Mars fan, but I've stopped caring who Gossip Girl is.

Its probably just going to be thrown in there with a bunch of half baked plot resolutions. This last episode, has made me cynical about the finale.
  16. Barney Helps Robin

These two will always be my favorite. Despite the fact that Neil Patrick Harris is gay, these two have amazing chemistry.
  17. How I Met Your Mother Review: Dog Days of Autumn

I liked this episode, I also liked that we had some Barney and Robin without it being overwhelming. While we all know that these two eventually get to alter, like Oprah, it won't be built in a day.

Despite the cute wedding date, Victoria has never been ok with Ted's friendship with Robin. It might have something to do with the fact that Ted broke up with Victoria the first time for Robin. But you either trust the one your with, or you don't. I don't think her character has changed all that much to be honest...Robin has been the reason Victoria's mistrusted Ted throughout all their relationship attempts.

P.S I disagree with Lily and agree with Ted, never thought I'd say that. The relationship clock doesn't hit "pause". When you break up, you break up. Meaning something breaks and has to be re-built. You can't go in there expecting the time you didn't spend together to "count".
  18. The Big Bang Theory Review: Like a Black Hole

Hahahaha I related well to this episode. Both my boyfriend and I can be overprotective of each other, at different times, thus annoying the crap out of one another sometimes.its usually best just to take a step back, as Leonard found out the hard way tonight.

Also, its a little moment but I caught it. Leonard sneaking out of bed was pretty fun. It's friggin' hard to do! Another thing I related to.

I liked this episode, I thought the argument between Leonard and Penny was very realistic. Leonard wants to encourage Penny but to her it looks like he thinks she's not smart enough. Awesome acting.
  19. The Big Bang Theory Review: Long Island Iced Tea Therapy Session

I like Amy, I think she's a great addition to the show but I was annoyed by her in this episode. First of all, she treated Wil like crap and when he wouldn't take it, she whined to Sheldon. Girls in real life do this enough, they don't need to see positive re-enforcement.

I did like the scene in the bar with Sheldon and Penny, always a great duo. Sheldon naming the reasons that he loves Amy. It was cute and I liked seeing this side of him but Amy was way out of line. Also, she knows that Sheldon doesn't get sarcasm, so its no wonder that Sheldon went out with Wil and didn't think anything of it. While, I agree that Sheldon is a lot to put up with, he's doing the best he can in his own way. Amy either has to be accept that or move on.
  20. Mad Men Season 6 Premiere Pic: Aloha!

They may not be divorced but Don sure doesn't look all that elated.

Its kind of weird that Don is so upset and alienated by Megan choosing to have a career. He's always been attracted to women who are successful. He fell in love with Betty at the height of her modelling career, Midge was a talented artist, Rachel Menken was a bad ass business mogul (Rachel was my favorite and I miss her, damn you Sons of Anarchy), and Faye was a very smart psychologist. He also mentored Peggy. Seems weird that he'd all of the sudden have issue with his wife working.
  21. Gossip Girl Finale Set Photos, Take 3: Meet Henry!

Seems unlikely that Milo would be with Lily, so it's either Chuck's child or Bart's.
  22. Dan and Serena Get Closer

These two would have a lot to work on if they were going to get back together...Makes my head spin thinking about it.
  23. Derena Love in an Elevator?

What is with these two being stuck in elevators together?

At least in the Dark Night it was due to a city wide black out.

Oh Season 2, those were the days.
  24. B and E

    Yay :)

I'm glad to see the Waldorf women teaming up once again.
  25. Gossip Girl Review: A Wolf in B's Clothing

I actually enjoy the addition of Sage, she's doing what Serena and Blair did as teenagers. It's kind of like pay back for all the shit Blair and Serena pulled. Serena playing step mommy after all she put everyone through is hilarious.

Still dont know why Sage's dating Nate, that relationship seems a bit unnecessary. It lacks substance or believability, sort of like Nate, although he's mighty fine to look at.

Poor Nate. Dan burned him good. But he should have known, Dan has teamed up with Georgina. Although, Nate never could smell a scheme. He dated Blair Waldorf for several years and still doesn't get it.

Also, poor Nelly Yuki. Even though she's a big shot, she still can't get the nerd she was pining for.
