I think that they are both in the wrong this time. Serena wasn't very supportive of Blair while Chuck was mad at her. She screwed Blair over to one up her boss with a secret party. Even though KC's a bitch, I would have fired Serena too. If you can't trust your employees not screw you over, they shouldn't be there. And Serena, while saying that she cares for her job, had lied to her boss repeatedly, if she were to blow it, it wouldn't have been Blair's fault. The writers need to STOP trying to make us love her as a good honest individual, when she's just as bad as everyone else.
On the other hand, Blair made several mistakes that she was in no position to. She should have just respected Chuck's wishes, after all she was trying to prove that she was trust worthy. Truth is, she no longer respects Chuck. And it's getting hard to watch. I never thought I'd feel that Blair was not right for Chuck, but the way she's been acting, she's just being cruel. I hate the writers' new take on her character, it's fucking irritating. Where's the Blair that stood up to the elite Colony Club to save Chuck? Instead she's been replaced with this brat, is NYU Blair her second doppelganger? Or just an whiny, evil twin? Because don't try and tell me that this is Blair.
I saw the first photos of her as Queen J and I loved the change. No more scary, layered to death hair, no more raccoon eyes as Dan put it last season, and some resemblance of style was starting to occur to Jenny. But with the fishnet stalkings, the mini shorts, and the "I-rock-it-like-Courtney-Love" style it's getting hard to stand. Yes, she has the right to dress how she wants and all that, but I have the right to think it looks trashy, especially on a teenager. Where's super dad Rufus to save the day with his "sage wisdom"?
Why take condoms yourself? Why not be like 50 Cent and have them sent to your dressing room? I'm sorry but buying condoms would have been more realistic and even then for me it seems a stretch that a celebrity in danger of being Perezzzzzzed would be caught doing that. Another case of "I-don't-believe-you-GG-writers" for me.
If that's true about Kristen and Robert I feel bad for them. I not a fan of either of the actors or the Twilight franchise but I have some sympathy if two people are contracted to appear dating because they're in a movie together and the fans want it.
This whole fight between Chuck and Blair is dumb. Yes, she lied but they've had worse problems then that. This whole scenario seems fake and I have to wonder if the writers who came up with this plot have even seen the previous two seasons.
It would almost be wise for Jessica to back out of the show, there's a lot of displaced anger towards her because of her character. I think she's really pretty but there's a lot of people that despise her because she's Vanessa on the show and because she's dating Ed. It could be bad for her career to be disliked so much.
Or maybe that's just wishful thinking because I find the Vanessa character so annoying.
Question, for anybody that can answer. She's been wearing that red ring since season 1, does anyone know where it came from? I thought it was a Nate thing but she still wears it a lot now
The leather with the rest of the outfit seems out of place. I've never been a fan of just wearing tights, she needs jeans or a skirt. But otherwise, it's fine, I like her hair much better in this episode. At the beginning of this season I hated her hair as well as the rest of the female leads' hair, big improvement on that front.
I think she's almost to cute, to nice. For a young actress she's pretty devoid of faults and short comings. Even after her reaction to when she thought Dan was ashamed of her. I think before I vote for her to stay that I would like her character to be a bit less static. Otherwise, I like the two together.
B was malicious in that last episode, but it felt really out of character for her to be so... I don't know, something about her character in Enough About Eve felt forced, and it wasn't Leighton's acting, she was great.
Appletea, it's continuity thing. It pulls you out of the story. Like how Rufus was worried about Serena and Jenny's season 2 behavior but he doesn't notice his daughter's wearing fishnets to school? It just seems odd, and it's feels half assed of the writers. Also I remember that Headmistress Queller was strict and that makes things even more unlikely in my mind.
I was hoping for more from Jenny's long awaited take over as Queen. It feels like they wrote Jenny's parts without a whole lot of effort, it's sloppy. And I think the character's been too established for that.
As Blair once said, the most important parties you attend are the ones you're not invited to. But it looks like B got her man back in time for this bash.
It's not that people hate Jenny, that's reserved for Vanessa, but people just don't like what they have been doing with her. Her style, her attitude, and finally, the fact that they have no idea what to do with her in season three. At least that's how it appears. Most of us just wish that Jenny was the Brooklyn aspiring designer who admired Serena that we saw before. Not this washed out, Queen J with no real storyline that they're doing.
Sorry but there is no way Constance would have let her get away with that, it's not like any of the girls have actually worn uniforms that look like uniforms but no UES private school would have put up with this, not even for Queen J with her new money. Even Chuck Bass got busted for breaking the rules.
There was a comment above that I agree with, the one about Chuck babysitting Blair instead of dating her. That's how feels now. Blair and Chuck used to be equals, steering each other in the right direction or scheming when something doesn't work out for them. Blair and Chuck have been a team from the very first episode, when they were getting their revenge on Serena. They have always had this teamwork relationship. Hence why Chuck was so hurt about being kept out of the loop.
I think the new writers of Gossip Girl need to be fired, now. I have been saying that all season but I really mean it. They had established that Blair was finally adjusting to NYU, then all of a sudden she can't handle it? I'm getting bored of Blair in a way that I never thought I would.
I don't hate Vanessa, but she's not my favorite character and she will never be. She is also supposed to be a secondary character. The title of this episode shouldn't have been Enough About Eve, it should be Enough About Vanessa Already. I don't care if she's in the show but she needs to not be taking up so much screen time.
Vanessa, Lily, Rufus, the Guest Stars. They all have been on screen way to much lately. And where's Gossip Girl? Barely audible these days. I used to laugh at her remarks and remember her witty contributions, now I forget if she's even spoken in an episode. It's like back ground noise now. We need to return to the core characters. Blair, Serena, Chuck, Nate, Dan, and Jenny. Give them some good interactions in well written scenes and we may just save this dying show.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you, Taylor Momsen's crotch. In full view of the world.
Sorry, but I there is something sleazy about wearing what she's wearing no matter what age. Had I been 16 and wearing this my mother would have killed me. Being a model/actor/singer is no excuse.
