I think Leighton and Blake are like sisters in real life, you can tell they share a bond but aren't best buddies... I mean they look comfortable but not like they really hang out all that much on their own... I don't know, just a hunch.
Love Penn but hate the beard thing that's going on... I adored his face when the interviewer asked about Blake, so cute.
Chace Crawford has to be the most boring person in existence, sorry Nate fans.
I think it would have been hilarious if they interviewed Ed as Chuck, that would have been great.
Ed Westwick MADE Chuck sexy and interesting. If they had cast someone else, Chuck wouldn't have taken off like he did. I very, very, very glad they chose Ed.
On a different note... Leighton looks stunning here, a bit like a modern Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Taylor looks scary skinny here.. Actually now that I think about it this girl was really skinny at the start of the show...Could be because she had that problem with her throat. Weight wise she looks better now... Style wise... Not at all.
You can tell these two are good friends, it says so in their body language. It's very sweet and refreshing... What? Co-stars that get along? Wow, what an idea
I dont care if it's a LV, it's ugly. Actually plenty of Lvs were very disappointing that night, including the dress Kerry Washington was wearing. Stella McCarthy tried to wear something similar and it didn't work for her either. And by the way, I do read. I read enough to know that Leighton made all the worst dressed lists for this event (it broke my heart.)You can wear unusual fashion and still look fantastic... Examples from that night would be Kate Moss with her greek goddess look with the understated TURBAN that she some how managed to make look fab. Claudia Shiffner (I know I spelled that wrong by the way) looked incredible in a very strange black dress... The list goes on... I love Leighton Meester but I HATE this look. Come on L, you rock, we know it, now dress how you normally do please.
I LOVE that they had Serena get ready for the prom in a taxi on her way from jail. That's just so perfect. It follows the whole "Serena looks amazing no matter what theme". It also further shows the extreme contrast between Blair and Serena.
Also, I dont think just because Chuck and Blair finally get together means its the end of their drama. I mean Chuck would have to get used to being a regular boyfriend, he's only ever managed to do that for a week. That should be funny to watch because let's face it... B is beautiful and smart but she's very hard on the people she loves, look at her friendship with Serena. She get's it from her mother. Chuck and Blair have a fiery, passionate relationship, those are always the hardest to keep going. Just because they finally say those three vital words doesn't mean the fun will end. Because the reason Chuck is having such a hard time saying it is because it's true... When it's true it's the hardest thing to say to the person for the first time ever. Nate might have loved Blair at times but he might also have just said he loved Blair because he knew that's what she wanted him to say. It's hard to tell sometimes with that boy. With Chuck we know he means it and we know just hard it has been for him, we care about his emotional journey.
About it not being the like the books... Well the Tv show took it`s own turn and it would have been impossible and stupid for the producers to ignore the obvious on screen chemistry the actors have. I mean even the very beginning they were giving each other goo goo eyes.
Ok, ok. The love child can't be either Carter or Chuck.
Serena has slept with Carter, remember they went to that trip in Greece where they got into some sort of trouble and Serena was interrogated? He said something about waking up and she had taken a boat and he talked about how much he hurt her... Knowing Serena she had been sleeping with him. And sleeping with her half brother is something Lord Byron (poet) would do, not Gossip Girl. Dan was bad enough.
As for Chuck, remember the episode "Chuck in real life" Bart comes to Chuck and tells him just how much he looks like his mother. And there's a picture of her on his beside table, she has the dark hair. Besides Serena IS his sister, their parents were married. And he treats Jenny like a sister. But remember before Bart married Lily and before there was a strong possibility that the Humphreys were moving in, Chuck basically tried to rape both Serena and Jenny in the very first episode. Also we've seen many Dan and Chuck moments, we already know that they don't trust each other but because they shared loved ones, they tolerate one another. We know how they get along.
I dont know... I personally dislike the love child plot... I have to admit that I miss Serena and Dan. To me, they're spending to much time on Rufus and Lily these days.
That's the magic of photography, look at the girls' shoulders, Leighton is slightly ahead of Taylor giving her the illusion that she's taller. That and Leighton's chin is up just a little bit higher giving her some extra height.
Uh oh, what's B plotting this time... The hair band is back
I was expecting this... Can't say I'm too sad... But the moment was beautiful between them. Nate actually showed some very strong emotion, first time I've ever felt for him. And the whole moment was beautifully acted. The whole Blair/Nate/Chuck part of the episode was just so well done.
Conrado, you are very right! It's impossible! narchibald is right too, I was going insane with the blue eyed Snow with the obviously brown eyed Kelly, that's bothered me since the first promo pic of the episode came out. And it really bothered me in the show. I think, fine, we got to see some 80s flashbacks in one episode but a whole spin off is too much. Now they're talking about bringing in OC characters? What? I'm thinking they should just stick with GG and let the Valley Girl episode be the start and finish of 80s barbie doll Lily.
Even though I love the Chuck from Season's past, I think it makes sense for the character. *Sniff, sniff* Our bad boy is growing up (kidding, kidding). It would be hard to be taken serious by his business associates if he was still just in highschool AND dressed like a playboy. It kind of like how Blair ditched the hair bands. I like how this show actually has characters that grow as time progresses and have more then one dimension, it really makes you want to watch them. It's refreshing.
Director: Ok, Kelly. We know you're obviously pregnant but hide it with your ARMS. Oh well, Lily Rhodes VanderWoodsen ... ... Bass, you're still my fav gossip parent
