I'm not buying it. Screw you, Chuck.
I refuse to "forget everything I know"!
I know what they're trying to do here, I know they intend to reedeem Chuck. To have him look like a hero in our eyes so we will forget what he's done.
But here are the facts:
1. He stood her up in 1x18.
2. He tortured her all through season 2 to tell her he loved her.
3. He never gave up anything for her but had her make sacrifices for him
4. He whored her out for a hoter. Even worse: He manipulated her into whoring herself out and then blamed her.
5. He gave her an ultimatum after he sold her.
6. He slept with Jenny Humphrey.
7. He fell for Eva in like two minutes and treater her better than he ever did Blair, and was ready to give up EVERYTHING, even his stupid hotel (for which he previously sold Blair) to be with her.
8. He pranced Eva in Blair's face and then spat at her that she was just jelous because Eva was able to change him.
9. He called her the worst person ever and sought to destroy her for sabotaging his relationship to Eva AFTER the previously mentioned big gestures he made for her (in which I did not include the sabotage of four of Blair's potential relationships)
10. He fell for Raina in like two seconds and forgot all about Blair until he needed her again.
11. He called B out on kissing Dan because "he isn't part of their world" after he publicly dated a prostitute who he said was all the better becuase she was untouched by the UES.
12. He publicly humiliated her.
13. He physically hurt her (THAT'S NOT ABUSE MY ASS!!)
14. He blamed her for it.
NOTHING HE EVER DOES WILL ERASE ANY OF THE MENTIONED EVENTS, AND BLAIR SHOULD GET SOME SELF RESPECT ONCE AND FOR ALL.
And I'm not even rooting for Dan here, I'm rooting for ANYONEBUTCHUCK at this point.
I don't know what will happen...at this point, with all these mixed signals we're getting, it's pretty hard to say.
I do however know what I think should happen...what I want to happen. And I want Dair. But I don't want them rushed like every other couple in GG. I want to continue seeing the build up of their relationship. It doesn't even have to happen this season, as long as it happens right.
I sincerely hope Dair is not just a prop. They work extraordinarily well together: calling each other out on everything, confiding in each other, bickering cuteness all the time.
Their honesty is refreshing. plus, Blair deserves someone like Dan and Dan would have to broaden his quite closed mind with Blair.
And given the neglect their former love interests have shown the two of them lately, I'm all the more for Dair.
Dair FTW. ...Of course, it won't be fun unless they don't have it easy. So bring on as many obstacles as possible! =)
I do not think Dan and Blair are doing anything wrong. They have both been ignored by their respective love partners and needed to find solace (and I don't even mean sexual) in someone else. Dan was there for her when not even Serena was, as the blonde was too busy with Ben and therefore also ignored Dan. Chuck was busy falling in love in a scary little amount of time with another girl (Really? After all he made Blair go through in S2, he falls in love in, like, three episodes).
Chair was a fantastic couple. I loved them. But as they progressed I started to realize more and more that though Blair was good for Chuck, he is not the right one for her. She gets emotionally exhausted with him because she apparently existed in that relationship to help pick up the Chuck pieces.
I always believed that Dair would make a good couple because it is the pair that would challenge each other more. How could Queen B fall for disgusting little lonely boy? How could Dan ever feel anything but disdain towards the "label-whoring package of girly evil"? What would everyone else say?
It would not just be a battle against the world, it would be a battle within themselves to admit what they feel for each other, and that's what makes them so fascinating (it was what made Chair interesting too, actually). I'm all for Dair now. Their bickering is hilarious, I think they look pretty cute together (note: not sexy, cute!) and their brutal honesty with each other is refreshing.
And since truly believe they bring out the best in each other, and I'm an aspiring writer...I think they should be endgame for real.
I don't want to get my hopes up too much but I refuse to believe that it is a coincidence that Dan & Blair are the only couple in GG that has had a real build up. Four seasons worth of it...
Dair Endgame ON!!
They deserve each other, they are complements. They call ach other out on just about anything with a surprising and refreshing honesty. They have so much in common yet they are opposites. Dan brings out the best in Blair and can offer her what she said she wanted: No games, no lies, just simple, pure love.
As character developement and evolution goes, they are the best match. They are the way to go. I hope the writers see that.
Plus, their banter, their chemistry...I mean, how CUTE are they? It's ridiculous.
I began watching Bones about a month ago,and I've only just caught up. I just want to say one thing: it is about freakin' time that they get together.
I am completely stressed out by their sexual tension and I'm just one month into the show. I can only imagine the agony of those who have been following the show since the very start. I am completely supportive of bringing a serious relationship into Booth's life in order to wake Brennan up but enough is enough. We're past the half season and she's still here.
Hannah is lovely as a person but I still find it in myself to wish her a painful death.
I am aware that Brennan somehow deserves this violent wake up but she has suffered enpugh. I mean, sure, she was the one who said no but might I remind everyone (including writers) that he brough up the subject ONCE, after five long, excruciating years, and he dropped the ball immediately after she said no. He didn't even make an attempt to fight for her.
I think they're both to blame for not being together, but the one who gets all the heat is Brennan and Booth is the one who gets to be happy.
Objectively speaking, the show will lose (has lost, actually) quite a number of viewers if the writers keep this up. They've made their point, Barbie has served her purpose, now it's time to get rid of her. HANNAH OUT.
