I never said that there hasn't been false accusations. There have been. And that very thing is why rape cases are so very hard. Rape culture IS NOT feminist propaganda in the least. Some college boys, especially frat boys, have the mentality that they can have anything they want and do anything they want. As was shown on the show, and has been plenty before this episode, the school turns a blind eye to these situations and AUTOMATICALLY assumes the girl was drunk and just asked for it. THAT is what this episode was about.
It's what fans have been clamoring for since the beginning......Rayna and Deacon are FINALLY together. So what awaits them now is anyone's guess. I think Maddie being a match for Deacon is going to play heavily into that going toward the season finale. Has Scarlett FINALLY turned the page on her stage fright? God, let's hope so. That is SO old and it's past time to go somewhere else with her character. The reason we didn't get much Avery and Juliette is obviously because this was filmed right before she had her baby. It looks as though she will have her "storyline" baby before the end of the season. Who thinks Sadie and Luke would make a great couple? Sadie is going to be in some hot water now it seems and I'm wondering what Luke is going to do. Teddy .........geesh. That's all I can say. Another character who needs to turn the page is Will. His character is very stale and needs something fresh and him coming out of the closet would be just that. Most around him already know he is gay and he needs to quit worrying about those that haven't figured it out will think.
Can't say I disagree with that............
I have no doubt at all this happens at college campuses across the nation--and a lot. Yes, there need to be dialogue about rape culture. Staffs at the college shouldn't be like the college president in this episode and just degrade the victim and automatically assume there is alcohol in involved because it's not every single time. I would go so far as to say that college campuses need staff trained in what to look for in these cases (for all I know they very well may have that-they may have counselors) so at the very least they may be able to pick up on if the person reporting is lying or not.
Which of the emails were your favorite? Generally speaking the emails and the reaction that ensued was what was great about that. Do you think that Cary and Diane are angry at Alicia for running for State’s Attorney? Oh absolutely. Diane is jealous because she had a chance to be state supreme court judge and she blew it by firing Alicia ,,,,,,,,Cary, on the other hand, I think is hurt because he and Alicia worked to start this new firm and now Alicia is leaving (or is she?) Was Eli right? Does Alicia have to at least appear as though she’s playing ball with her contributors? Oh Absolutely (again) Redmayne is a disgusting human being but she has to play ball with him because he was one of her major contributors. Was there anything in “Undisclosed Recipients” that you found disappointing? Yes, Diane and her jealousy. At least Cary appeared to want to find a peaceful solution. What was your favorite scene from the episode? I think it had to be the scene where Eli was telling Alicia she had to play ball with her contributors.
I don't think I ever heard it said or even mentioned that Bishop was in her 20's..............
Well aware of that...........
I'm late to the dance Carissa.........I always forget this comes on Monday and I caught it online last night. I agree with you in your review. Dylan just wants to have a family. Norman is jealous of his relationship with Norma. No doubt he will tell her about Caleb. As for Emma, I find it hard to believe as well that she doesn't see all the weirdness that is Norman. I think she does see it but she is so desperate to be accepted( she's weird too) that she over looks it. As for Norma and the Professor, I'm in fear for the professor.............and wonder if there will be a hook with either him or Romero. I can't say enough about Freddie Highmore........His performance so far this season has been even more creepy and he just absolutely nails it. I jumped at the scene at the end when he had snuck up behind Dylan.
I had thought McGee was getting better but this episode knocked him back down a few pegs because of his childish behavior........... I think I agree as well that this story should have been a two parter because there seem to be much more to tell and some of this was rushed.
So age difference is a problem for you??? SMH................ Well at least you didn't go off on one of your Ziva tangents..................
