@ Martinelli.....NCIS LA probably won't give us any Kensi/Hawaii 5-0 connections, if there are any. I still am hoping though, that there are. I think we might be in the minority on that.
@Amazingalex......It does look good. I think that they extended Terry O'Quinn's contract which should put him through most of the rest of the season. So that is why I am sure that this story line will continue after 2.14, but hopefully we get more answers, other then just who Shelburne is. I do enjoy guessing, but don't like being strung out too long. I like Joe also, but I get frustrated with him, because he frustrates Steve. But then again I get frustrated with the writers who drag this out too long. I guess if I didn't like the show, I would not be commenting so much on this, so I think they do some things right.
Looks as though Adam is a bad guy. I just watched the preview for next week again. It will be interesting to see how they get Steve and Joe out of the meeting with Adam and the Yakuza thugs.
I was blaming H50 for the repeats, but I think its a CBS thing. CBS' Tuesday schedule is new tonight, but they go back to repeats next week, while Monday goes to new episodes. I don't know what the thought process is at CBS, but this is more frustrating. They should have their break and then put on the new shows back to back.
@Martinelli.....I was not suggesting that you did not know the story, I was just pointing out that he is forced to be in Hawaii, and that is why he has a lot of anger issues which is shown in his acting. There are others that feel the same as you, they find him nagging and whining. I just disagree. Also he may be short, but he is in great shape. They have only shown him once with his shirt off, but he is not bad in the abs area. Not AOL, but not bad at all. You have a right to your opinion and to express it.
@Martinelli.....I have to disagree with you on Danny. The way he speaks is how they speak in the New Jersey, New York area. The actor, Scott, is from Los Angeles, but his father may have come from that area, I'm not sure. I think he is a very good actor, he is able to show emotions with a look. The character was forced to come to Hawaii because this is where his ex-wife married and brought their daughter, so he is frustrated and misses his family back in New Jersey. He is the opposite of Steve, and that is why they work well together. If you take Danny away, you take a big chunk of how the show works well out. The writers this year concentrated on Lori for too long,(without success), and Danny was pushed aside. They have been correcting that in the last few episodes. You may not want to watch 2.14 and 2.15 because there is going to be a lot of Danny.
I don't think the show is boring. I like the plot line, it keeps us guessing. It has dragged out a little long, but hopefully it will be worth it. The repeats in-between make it seem so much longer. The promo for next week makes me think that they may end the Yakuza going after Joe. Maybe that is how they reveal Shelburne? Who Knows.
@HFO...I think Tony and Ziva on NCIS flirted at times, but she has been on that show for 7 of the 9 seasons and they are just getting to that now. She is getting proposed to tomorrow night, not by Tony, so if they want to wait 9 seasons and then bring in a team romance on H50, then that would work for me. Hopefully someone else other then Lori.
@amazingalex....I don't know if they would go that way. Lets say they did, then does that mean that Joe has been hiding Steve's mother, and she just told him Steve was his son? I would need more convincing, but anything is possible in TV. I hope his mom did not have an affair while married to Senior.
@Jeffrey.......you might be interested. I just saw a review of a movie that Lauren German is in called "the Divide" which is due out this friday. It's about a nuclear blast. I came across it as I googled, "hawaii five o review", its actually a review on SPIN OFF ON LINE, by Keri Luna. It not a great review, but there is a short preview that you can view.
@amazingalex.....I'm with you, I don't think Joe is a bad guy. I think he is just delusional that he thinks he can protect Steve, make him back off, and Wofat will just drop it.

@jschoi and Lena......Duke is the one who warned Chin that Steve was going to be arrested in last year's season finale. He was also there with Chin in the car when they arrested Steve at the governor's mansion. I think he is more connected to Chin and is his resource at HPD. He might have been the one who also gave Chin the info on the file of Steve's mother's case being a homicide and not an accident. That being said, he could be connected since he was around when John McGarrett and Chin Ho were partners. It's possible.
@Jeffrey......there are 24 episodes in a season. Peter Lenkov has already tweeted that there will be a full season of 24 episodes this year. There are many sites that believe H50 should be renewed for season 3, they are doing well in the ratings for a 10PM show.
I see it a little different. I think Joe asked Wofat who Shelburne was to get a reaction. He asked Steve to see if he knew anything about Shelburne, we now know for sure that Joe knows who Shelburne is, he said he could not tell Steve. Senior McG probably wanted to get the same reaction that Joe did. Steve found out in North Korea that Wofat does not know who Shelburne is, but it appears that Wofat either knows or thinks that Shelburne has info that will hurt him or send him to jail. I believe Joe knew all along who Shelburne was, its part of whatever his deal is with not telling Steve. He also said in the car, on the phone, that "I have to move you, Steve is getting too close". So Shelburne knows who Steve is.
@Amazingalex....I think Chin goes back and forth from boss to Steve, and I only recall Danny calling him Steven, when he is irritated with him. Regardless, I don't think someone who was that new would insert herself that fast into a team, nor would the team trust her that fast since she was placed there by the new governor after they just found out the old one was so crooked.
By the way, I saw that PL tweeted that Danny's girlfriend, the science woman or whoever she was, will be making another appearance this year. So it does not look like he is getting back with Rachael.
@Martinelli......I did not remember anyone from China, so if China, North Korea, (since they have been there twice), and Japan (Yakuza and Shelburne hiding there), are all involved, then there has to be some sort of international connection. Along with the previous Governor of Hawaii being crooked. You are right politics are connected one way or another.
But why is Joe so adamant about keeping things from Steve? Who does not know what has happened over the last 20 yrs. He is a Navy Seal who Joe trained, so why would he not think that he could help solve this? If the Senior McG is dead and he told Steve he was sorry he lied and then led him to the lock box with all the clues, wouldn't Joe realize that he wanted Steve to now know what was going on?
@Martinelli......Shelburne is the next step in us finding out what is going on, so revealing him/her should give of some answers. For Senior McG and Joe to be keeping this from Steve for so long, then there has to be more then just Wofat being a bad guy that John McGarrett was trying to expose. Or was he trying to cover something up that he did?
We aren't obsessed with this show are we. Even if we don't always agree with the way they are handling this show, they do have us guessing and anticipating.
@jschoi.....the football game is not being shown on CBS, so their must be some other reason for the repeats. H50 needs to be ahead, since they are finishing up 2.15 this week and it takes 2-4 wks to film, edit, and produce we are looking at repeats over the next month or so. I agree its frustration having to wait for a new episode and then get another repeat.
@Martinelli.....you are right, they have not given the reason all this is happening. Hopefully with the revealing of Shelburne, we will get answers sooner then later. Although the Wofat story line is not going to be resolved for a long time. It's a big part of the show and they will milk it for as long as they can. I just hope they give us info a little more quickly then they did with Shelburne.
@HFO....It's not just Lori, I don't want Kono and Steve together either. He needs someone outside the team. He is her boss, she calls him boss. Romance between team members usually happens when a series has nothing else to show and is coming to an end, it's the kiss of death. I think H50 has much more to explore before that. Please don't kill the show.
@Lena.....Fox shows start at their own time usually later then everyone else, but I'm surprised that the CBS shows, NCIS and NCIS LA, have not shown as many. I did not remember them showing any repeats earlier and they started at the same time. But they are showing new ones tomorrow, and with all the repeats coming up for H50, I bet they catch up quick, while filming ahead for the other shows.
@ Martinelli.....How did that get deleted? I tried looking back at the other reviews when you started the Lori one, but could not find it. I am not sure how far back that was.

I know I said I wanted the new episodes to start sooner, but now I know I was wrong. We will get 2.14, then at least one more re-run if not 2, then 2.15, and probably more reruns. I would prefer the new ones to be back to back, this does not help with dragging out the story lines. I think it would be better if they held off showing any new ones until they got caught up.
I've already said a 100x's why I don't like the character of Lori, so I won't repeat it. Lori does not need to be replaced, nor does she need a different partner, she needs to no longer exist. Catherine should not be on the team either, and I like her.
I understand the need for recurring characters, Max is the M.E., Kamekono is the street connection, Fong is the lab guy, Joe is the link to Steve's family's past, Wofat, Sang Min, Hiro, are the bad guys, etc.
@Martinelli.....I'm sorry, McGarrett is spelled with 2 t's at the end. My mistake. I don't know if you can correct it, I'm sure someone will point it out. They know who it is. Thanks again for doing it.
