I throughly enjoyed this episode. Steve and Danny were very funny in the TV and Car scenes. Kono and Chin actually got some scenes. The guest star was there for more then 3 minutes. Max was very good, loved the car. I had a good feeling after this show that they won't spoil it, so we can have a season 3.
As for Lori, the fact that she was not attached to Steve's hip was good. She did not take up all the scenes and the show flowed much better. As far as liking her, the jury is still out. If the writers make her part of the team after the 12 episodes she is contracted for, then I hope they do what they did last night, no hooking up with Steve and do not put her in every scene and forget the other actors that made the show in the first season.
Then maybe I would come to like her, but its going to take a lot more episodes. Steve needs a woman in his life, but not Lori and not a team member.
As for the Lori lovers, I agree on one thing that people were getting a little too personal and cruel and there was not a need for that. But, they need to admit that she is a little stiff. In the scene where she is suppose to show sympathy for the loss of the agent, she almost got it, was still a little robotic. I've scene this actress in other things and she was fine, maybe she just needs to relax. I will try to keep an open mind.
How come so many of you think that 2 millon dollars is not a lot of money? Especially when you are in your 50's. If so many of you have that, then why is this country in such bad shape financially. 2 million would leave most anyone very comfortable for another 30 to 40 yrs of life, interest alone should be pretty good.
As for NCIS, this is a great episode. I loved the "Mr. Woodchuck" line. Great writers on this show, and the cast is exceptional. I hope none of them is getting tired of doing this program, and that we have many seasons to come.
Maybe not the greatest episode, but I thought appropriate enough for a Halloween episode.
I'm also not a big Lori fan, and do not like love interest between team members. I have no problem with Lauren German herself, its that Kono and the others seem to be pushed aside while they try to develope the Lori character. At least last night we saw Steve and Danno more as partners and the car scene has returned. Even though they made Danno kind of an idiot, I agree with a previous writer that he should have scoffed at the idea, but kept off the so called sacred ground, until their priest arrived. I'm never going to like the Lori/Steve thing. It's been done on numerous other shows, but it usually took several seasons. I did not mind the what was Lori wearing questions. That is what men and women do when they work and are friends, they joke around about things. It was nice to see Grace back, she is getting a lot bigger. I hope they show her more before she grows out of the role that they started with, as child actors tend to do. 8 yr old one day and 15 the next. I disagree that there will not be a 3rd season, I still have faith that the writing will settle down some and that we will see some of the season 1 magic. It brought some of it back at times during last night's episode. I like the scene with Gabriel, this is a good set up of her and Danny. I hope we see her meet with Grace.
I liked the last episode, although I too wished Kensi had more lines and a little more was found out about the conversation of Steve's father and Wo Fat. I hope its not dragged out too long.
I have to say that I'm also not a big Lori fan. I DO NOT like a love interest between any of the team members. Steve needs someone outside of the ninja, cop, military mode. I could learn to like Lori if she weren't being shoved down our faces. I know they are trying to establish the character, but too much, too soon. Danny, Chin, and Kono are being shoved aside. I too miss the partnership of Steve and Danno. Where's Grace? I loved the scene with Danno looking out for the murder victim's son.
I'm not ready to kill off Lori, but a more subtle entrance would have been a better choice. I'm not going anywhere yet, I still love this show, and like the other new characters, as long as we see more of the original four, which is what attracted the audience it has for season 2.
