Are we fans to the show going to let Heroes get cancel after S4 finale, is there anything we can do?
I'm afraid all we can do is continue watching, as painful as that may sometimes be.
I get that the writers/producers/creators have their own ideas of the show, but I really think they need to a) start listening to the fans and b) restore (or inject) some continuity to the storyline. I rather enjoyed the reference to a past character we haven't seen in a while. There is no shortage of message out here in cyberspace indicating what fans want to see; unless the show starts providing that, I fear we may have our Monday nights next season free to do something other than watch Heroes.
The most frustrating part is there are good elements to the show and this season. But they are being underutilized. It's time for the pace to pick up, and the seeds of some great action to be sown.
Yeh they need to hire Maj, Kal15, Picazo, SylarisGood as writers for this show.
it has elements which made season one great. but just when you think it is going somewhere, it fizzles out.
its rather frustrating. btw, i am technically already a writer (and a lawyer), just had nothing published yet, though not through the want of trying:)
i was thinking about character development of heroes, can anyone see genuine advancement of a single character? they all seem to go round in circle's or they go backwards. their powers may progress, but as characters they do not.
the writers try to develop the characters, then appear to get cold feet, and move in another direction, leaving the fans/viewers frustrated, disappointed and with a sense of disbelief.
peter, hiro, sylar, claire and parkman are examples of this, peter especially. and these are supposed to be the crux of the show. the actors must be seriously cheesed...
Hear, hear. This season started out with great promise, and right when it should have have taken a big progression (that would have been Monday night's double episode), it stagnated. The sad part is it is proving the critics on this site right. Most of us pleaded for patience because the parallels to S1 were all there this year, but now, nothing. It has hit a rut, and the lack of character development is the reason why. Hey, Peter saving people as a paramedic? Fine, that's a pretty good secret identity. But a character like the Peter we saw in S1 would want to go beyond that and while he saves people in one part of his life, in another he combats forces of evil most of us would be unable to comprehend -- like Sylar when he was at his mysterious, head-cracking-open best, or Samuel when it looked like he was bent on world domination.
I want to see some teamwork, some wicked ass fight scenes, some tension, cliffhangers, more OH SHIT moments. They better get on it quick.
That is my exact fear you guys. How much more can we defend this show. I hate to say it but the critics are winning. How much longer can we say have patience guys, Samuels plan this or that, or Somethign big is about to happen. I mean that time frame has passed everythign should have been done in Mondays episode but disappointing enough it was the exact same. I mean Peter and Claire have great chemistry and seeing her take on the multiple man in the mirror house shows me that she is not a ditz. Guys I am afraid their is not much longer I can hold on to...the essence of this show is going away.
They should bring in Stan Lee...seriuosly!!!!!!
totally ugree with stan lee idea although sounds bit impossible!! well i blame everything in the budget...after season 2 they lowered the budget almost in the half...thats why there are no more fightings and special effects. just talking and talking.
Great idea Maj!
