It's been a long summer .. and taking me even long to acclimate to this new format. All is good though. I haven't been able to fin any threads dedicated to each episode (I loved those best on the old site), so I figured I'd get one going for V.5 #2. I like this season so far, a much better start than S2 and S3. I loved how Ink was really focused on just a few storylines. and I absolutely love what they are doing with Sylar's character. Love it. I was wondering all summer how they were going to work Adrian Pasdar and Zachary Quinto into the story, and what they are doing is amazing.
A question: is Suresh done for good? I don't miss his character so much -- by the middle of last season he was getting really annoying. But I do miss his voice-over commentary that we used to get at the beginning and end of many episodes.
Any other thoughts on where this season is headed?Posted 9/29/2009 2:06:45 PM #
So after watching the first couple of episodes of the new season, gotta say I'm liking it so far. Just got a few random thoughts about everything. First thinking that Gretchen has something to do with Claire's roomates death or is that just too convienent? Anyone else notice how the most powerful heroes (Peter and Hiro) are always the first ones and almost the easiest to be manipulated by the bad guys, from Adam to the new bad guy. Maybe they are still too trusting. Not a bad thing though. Poor Parkman, going to the dark side he is. Kinda hard not too with Sylar stuck in your head. Now I don't remember exactly how it happened at the end of last season, who's body exactly is it that we see with Nathan/Sylar. Did they take Sylar and make him think he's Nathan? Strangely enough, not missing Suresh all that much, must be getting used to characters not coming back after awhile. Anyway that's enough for now. Can't wait for the next episode!Posted 9/29/2009 6:33:41 PM #
about time someone open the Forum for "Ink"
CanadianWolf You don't remember how last season end? how sad is that Anyways I agree with you both i like how this season has started I can feel the difference between the climax of last season, and this one Oh yeah seem like you two don't miss Suresh that makes 3 of us he was getting annoying last season. I hope we get good answer soon!!!! I am excited about the next episode.......Posted 9/29/2009 9:42:41 PM #
loved this episode.
what the hell is the compass thing all about???
do you think it is special to peter somehow? with the compass working for him, and not HRG? and now an ink version working on peter too???
still loving the samuel character! i mean, wouldnt you love to implode some of your neighbours houses??? hahaPosted 9/30/2009 2:28:19 AM #
Emmas scene with the BAss violin was just beautiful and gripping to the end. I will kind of enjoy Peter and her hooking up. I dont trust Gretchen for shit..and I love the way HRG saw right through her Bull shit at the restaurant. Samuel is just so sinister and hes just gripping as a villian and the compass showing up on Peters arm implies that he is to replace Joseph and be part of Josephs carnival.Posted 9/30/2009 10:25:34 AM #
I think Emma is took old for Peter, but i guess she is better then any other younger girl.Posted 9/30/2009 1:13:05 PM #
I felt the same way about Emma...Isnt she like way old for Peter...????Posted 9/30/2009 1:47:26 PM #
Sylar and Matt together are the best thing they could have done for the show. Only they need to let the audience know that Sylar has to be willing to leave Matt's mind into a body. B/c Matt can just drop him in a comatose 109 year old woman.Posted 9/30/2009 1:47:51 PM #
Definitely liked where the season is going, but as always, I have my gripes. First off, this Emma character. Does anyone else feel that this character's power is totally pointless in the Heroes universe? So she can see colors instead of hearing the sound. What is this going to accomplish? The only thing I can think of is that it will make her death visually spectacular for her as the people with real powers kick her deaf ass to the curb. Seriously, her character irks me. It just feels like the writers are throwing a bone to handicapped people, like when the makers of Barbie created a cousin for her who came with a wheelchair, and then discontinued the doll when it was found that the wheelchair didn't fit inside Barbie's dreamhouse. I don't know, I'll watch to see where they go with her character, but the last thing this show needs is more throwaway characters that do nothing but slow things down. Stupid teenage boys West and whatever that guy's name was who could breathe underwater, I'm looking in your direction.
Second, will somebody PLEASE do something different with Claire. Her character got so old so fast after the first season. She's physically invulnerable yet emotionally immature, we get it. HRG is all about protecting her from the real world, we get that too. Can we move on? I don't really care where we move on to at this point, so long as it isn't the same tired crap that they've been shoving down our throats. Whatever happened to the Claire from the future who was all badass? I know that future probably doesn't exist anymore, but it was refreshing to see Claire's character without all the tired agnst BS.
Finally, Peter. What's the deal with him, anyway? At the end of the season finale, he had Sylar's powers. When the new season started he had Suresh's power. Why would he give up Sylar's multitude of badassery for one little super strength power? It does not make sense, just like Wookies living on Endor.Posted 9/30/2009 3:31:21 PM #
First off PyroPuppy....relax. its just the beginning of teh season to answer your multitude of questions lets start with Emma. True her power is very pointless but who says that every power on the show has to contribute to something. Its just an ability, but if she gets an intriguing storyline (like lets say hooking up with Peter and getting involved wiht the other heroes) she could end up a very likeable character...lets not forgot the drama in the show is being increased. Wests character I actually liked but near toward the end of season 2 when he was officially part of Claires life and had to face off against Elle with her. The water boy guy I really didnt give a shit about cuz he lasted only a episode. Yes Claire..Claire is growing up...I agree with your post on her. She really needs to Liven up...I hate this serious depressing version of her..I totally want her to JOIN the carnival so that atleast she can get involved with an interesting storyline. Future Claire was pathetic and again the Villains arc sucked and I dont want to see our heroes go bad because they just cant pull it off espacially Claire. Peter did NOT get all of Sylar's ability he just took his Shape Shift at the end of Fugitives Arc.Posted 10/1/2009 11:21:53 AM #
