If you have watched this season closely, Peter had the flying and super strength powers. He was slightly flying up but making it look like jumping. Then he got the super speed from the Carnival guy (Darth Maul/Toad from Xmen). I think Peter can absorb whatever he wants now and keep what he had previously. I could be wrong though! I guess we will see. This season hasn't shown very much power usage (atleast not very much of it)

Yeah I agree they have show pretty little power usage this season, they cut down the budge from $800 to $500. so less special effects....

Villains over-used powers anyway, if you ask me. They forgot the human element. I'm glad they've rediscovered that in the new episodes.

No, Claire is much dumber than Peter, for sure. They are related, though, so they might have just been wading in the shallow end of the Petrelli gene pool.

Peter by far is the only best character on teh show...although I wish he had absorbed his Telekinesis instead of shapeshifting....but Peter was the only one who didnt trust Sylar at all...and would still take him on regardless.

Well this last episode shows that Peter can only have one power so I was wrong.

he didn't take all of sylars powers he just took shape shifting, remember when he shakes sylars hand as the president, he says I bet you didn't think i took that one.

i agree with ravenhill. too much power-usage does kill the show.
also, peter does only hold one power at a time, and did only take shapeshifting. what remains to be seen is if he is able in the future, somehow, to recall these powers again.....could happen.
i think he is likely to take hiro's power, as it would help him in a similar way as the speedster power at work.

Yeah, SylarISgood has a point with Peter possibly recaling his past-absorbed powers. Back at the start, it took him a while to learn how to hang on to powers after the original person had left.
