i will say that i am happy to see that peter got his powers back. The thing i have a problem with is with the fact that since the begining of the show, peter is truly the only one who can stop sylar. I mean they are two peas in a pod. now that he can only hold onto one ability, there is not much he or anyone else can do to stop him. I feel the only way to stop sylar is for peter to absorb sylars base ability of intuitive aptitude. thats the only way peter can axcess more than one ability. cause we have seen in cold snap that peter can pick and choose which ability to absorb. (i.e flying his mother out of the elevator). i will say that taking his empath ability away was good for the sense that he was more powerful than sylar origianlly. and hell for all we know peters power absorbtion could still evolve even more. for all we know it could evolve into the full on ability that arthur had, since peter is the only hero that originally had a natural ability, lost it, then sythentically got it back.

Good points Dooby but i think that part of the problem they have had is the powers upgrading for no reason.

its not that upgrade for no reason. they are evolved humans. they will naturally mature, an example would be when peter first started mimicing abilites he had to think about how they made him feel and it naturally progessed, with claudes help also, to where all he needed to do was see someone use there ability whithin proximity of him and then he could do it too.

I personally think one of two things will happen to make Peter's power more useful. For one the good guys are doing terrible in the fight against evil, the first Alternate Reality of season 1 is starting to come to pass. Where Sylar is Nathan in disguise, so Peter must either:
A: Meet up with Matt Parkman or the "STOP-and-GO" baby, and through that the baby restores his powers, at least close to the original power
B: Or he meets Ando and through meeting Ando and phyiscal contact, he might be able to use one power and more from than on, because no other Hero can stand up against Sylar and I doubt they would give the position of all powerful good guy to a newly introduced character.
And Peter's current power? Flight, that's all personally I would rather of absorbed Claire's regeneration, since they need to start a new Compnay things need to be done and I rather be virutally immortal, like Adam.

He gets them back from Sylar. Sylar is the only one that shapeshifts right now. However, we know that Peter can shapeshift in the future. He turns into present Peter when he comes to kill Nathan.

BUT could't peter get his powers back becuase since hiro got his powers back by touching baby matt parkman,peter could do the same and also whats up with hiro why does his nose start bleeding and do you think nathan dies and sylar kills him?And sylar how does he survive from denkos knifestab?is he too amped up to know?

Totaly agree with you mouhsine. Did you notice they try to stay away from his character?
Oh and when he had all these amazing powers they made him dumb as door knob.
GIVE YOUR FATHER A HUG! WTF? They should have made him like Dr Mahattan from
Wacthmen, all powerfull but dealing with being different. Hope they fix it.

I have a theory, i guess Peter got more then one of Sylars abilities but not all. It was really disapointing and meaningless when i though he only absorbed shapeshifting.. Come on, if you can pick, wouldnt you choose telekinesis or electric manipulation?
Then a great idea pop up in my mind tonight. Originaly Sylar had the Empathic Mimicry and he absorbed both Intuitive aptitude and telekinesis when he saw his father killing his mother. Then he used his original power to absorb electricity from elle and shapeshifting from that guy. Now we know Peters wounds didnt healed after the battle so i guess he didnt absorbed healing from both Sylar and Claire (speculative, maybe he didnt know he got healing again). Looks like he didnt absorbed empathic mimicry (speculative again) but assuming the fact that he got shapshifting, i guess he absorbed all the powers that Sylar acquired via empathic mimicry. That means shapeshifting, telekinesis, electricity (and Intuitive aptitude maybe?) This will make my favourite Hero really powerful again but still mortal. Sound good and make sense isn't it?
I hope writers will decide to do this, but it wont be bad if they just give him mimicry or aptitude (peter cutting heads !!:D). Just i dont want to see him holding only on one power again, especially after touching Sylar which gives him endless possibilities...
