JustVisiting I dont know if Peter can get his Original Empathy ability back of just being around the person and absorb that ability and collect them. Right now BY TOUCH He can choose to absorb one at a time and override the existing power. This is because of that FANTASTIC serum he injected himself with. The only this coudl work is if Hiro stops Peter from walking into PineHurst where ARthur absorbs his abilities. I would love to Hiro Time travel one last time with Peter and take him to where Arthur Petrelli was in his death bed and shoot him in the head.

i think you're all crazy, ever since he lost his powers they actually developed him as a character, and now he has to be smarter than he was before, though I do miss it and think it would be refreshing, I like how now he has to be smart about it.

dont get me wrong Cliff. Peter is my favorite character on the show no matter how his power works. They have really developed his character the most.

He hasnt changed or evolved a bit since season 1 peter petrelli...if your looking at it from the point of view that season 2 he forgot everything too a step back, season 3 he became stupid an took a step back then yeah hes evolved but all hes really done is come a full circle and nursing and trying to help people like he did in season 1, the writers really screwed him over because they didnt know what to do with someone that had god like abilities....maybe this season they'll start to evolve the character

Maj, you raise an interesting possibility with Peter and Hiro together again. Hiro has been on this little quest to fix all the wrongs. It is possible he, or even Peter, could go back in time and stop Peter from confronting his father, which we all know inevitably led to him losing his powers. I'm expecting an element of flashbacks or time travel in this episode as IMDB lists Ellen Greene as making a return. I would love to see Peter get back on the path of being a badass hero fully prepared to confront Sylar -- and the carnies.

Kal15..I dont remember who Ellen Green is..but if Peter needs to time travel I would say make it the one last time travel to fix the wrong. Which was ARthur Petrelli. That could in fact change not just the Villains Arc but the events that lead into Fugitives Arc as well.
Ok now another theory on Peters powers. SO by now guys we have seen Peter hug Nathan, Shake hands with Samuel, Kiss Angela Peterelli and not absorb their Powers. He saves Emma from the truck and totally absorbs her ability. Also, I have to mention that the scene where Peter tries to use superspeed in his running and stops tells me that does not have control of his ability to absorb when I thought that he did. I guess his love feelings trigger his empathy ability unknowingly. SO I guess he can take abilities that he wants and it has just been made aware that love feelings trigger that as well. He is definitly not accumulating abilities!

Maj: just as an FYI, Ellen Greene is the actress who plays Sylar's mom. We know she's dead, so there is either a flashback or a time travel sequence.
