i love them together...it seems less likely for them to become an annoying puppy-love item like serena and dan....but who knows? lilly/rufus and naate/vanessa didn´t seem too bad and they managed to make them unbearable

he looks like he's pleading with her or something...maybe to stay? maybe to be with him? maybe he wants to prove to her he's a good guy and she's just very skeptical.
anyway, this is very reminiscent of chair season 2 episode 1.
