Sasha is the slightly more gifted dancer
But today's day and age of economy, in a white nation, the white voter group is needed to keep the money flowing in via pay-per-use text message :) . Hence, Melanie was promoted to be the better dancer and more deserving winner.
It was by no accident that a poorly choreographed dance was given to Sasha in the finale so that she would get fewer viewer votes.
