I am a 72 year old male TV fanatic.  I spend way too much time in front of the tube. [do not have a flat wide screen yet],  I am fortunate to be a TV child, being witness to the earliest black and white TV and original Color TV.  I remember when we only had three channels: CBS, ABC, and NBC.  We did not miss all that "choice", more channels would bring.  Ed Sullivan, Show of Shows, Jack Benny, George Burns, Amos & Andy, Milton Berle, I Love Lucy, and other sitcoms were on my "don't fail to watch" list..  My first remembrance of color was the Smothers Brothers and their bright red blazers.  Wonderful World of Disney, Bonanza, Lost in Space [finally in color] were on the short list of favorites. Threes Company, Seinfeld, Friends and Soap were regrettable cancellations.

I still am an avid viewer, especially sitcoms.  I also like to watch the Science and history channel. on the unctuous cable..  Two and one-half men, How I Met Your Mother and Old Christine are among my favorites.

I am looking forward to sitcoms with witty scripts and  likable, relatable cast members.  I used to favor science fiction and murder mysteries but now do not consider them as entertainment, especially when I have to pay for watching them.

Maybe they could use Barney's singing talent to break the monotony.

Yes, Sara Gilbert deserves better that sitting around waiting for her character to bed Leonard. Her legacy should be more than being in Rosanne TV sitcom as a child star.

I think it should have been spelled ensemble... They make the show. Each cast member contributes appropriately. The music is great and, at times, "tricks" the mind into thinking it was better than the original.
