We used to be close. There was a time that I could read you better than anyone, and now there's just this wall and half-truths.
Lacey: What's in the basement?
Gabi: I'm in the basement. I lock the part of me that Sir took in there. The part that I never got back. The part that grieves the darkness, loneliness, and pain. It's the place that I go in my mind where I become what we hunt to help us with our cases and bring people home.
Mark: Mosley & Associates and its fearless leader, former kidnapping victim Gabby Moseley, and her diverse crew of specialists have dedicated themselves to finding those who others won't.
Dhan: With a 96% success rate and their classified funding sources.
Lacey: Shoutout to Zeke and his trust fund.
There's been distance between us since your father passed. I kept telling myself that it was grief, but I'm not so sure. I think you're hiding something from me. I don't know what, but I know that you lied to me, to all of us a couple of times.

Lacey: We located the person who pulled the tab from Jamie's flyer.
Gabi: He didn't pull it because he knew anything about Jamie; he used it to wrap his gum.
Margaret: OK, thank you. Thank you for your help.
Lacey: I really wish the outcome were different.
Margaret: I mean, we've been here before, right? It's OK, I'm fine, it's fine, I'll just get some… I'll get some new flyers printed. I wish I could move on. I wish I could. But I can't… I just… I can't move on.
Lacey: Okay, I learned this neat little trick in one of my law classes this week to use on witnesses, to like tell if they're lying.
Zeke: Oh yeah?
Lacey: You can tell a person is lying based on a few things. Like a rise or fall in tone, or avoiding eye contact, or repeating the question back to you, or if a person uses a modifier like honestly or truthfully.
Lacey: Gabi lied to me today about Sir. And I have no idea why.
Dhan: It's been a long day, Lacey. Whatever it is, let it go. Everybody has their secrets.
Margaret: The young woman I was talking to earlier is my daughter. Yeah. I know. The abridged version is she wants to emancipate from me, and I am dealing with it.
Lacey: Wow, OK. First, you don't have to deal with it on your own. And second, are you really going to sign the emancipation docs?
Margaret: She's never asked me for anything before. It's the least I can do. I haven't been Taylor's mom for a long time. Not since Jamie went missing. Lacey: Emancipation is permanent, Margaret.
Margaret: I'm aware
Lacey: Did her dad put her up to this?
Margaret: I doubt it. I mean, Taylor's always been really headstrong. And Daryl's not a bad person. The reason he went for full custody of the kids was because he saw what I couldn't. That my inability to stop looking for Jamie was hurting our other kids more. Distance and time brings clarity. So Daryl made the right call.
