Luke: You know, I honestly can't believe I ever risked my relationship with my brother to make a move on you.

Vince: I just got the most surreal phone call from CDCR. Reese, remember the division chief up at Lazarus, apparently he was so impressed with you fishing me out of that fire that he submitted you for an extraordinary conduct credit.
Eve: Wait. Does he qualify?
Bode: When, when do I find out?
Vince: That's what I just found out. You got the credit. And they're taking twelve months off your sentence.
Sharon: But he only had 11 months left. What does that mean?
Vince: That means there's some paperwork and stuff. But, uh, you're free.
Sharon: Oh my God.
Vince: You're coming home.
Sharon: So this is why you couldn't look me in the eye.
Vince: Well, you know I suck at keeping secrets from you. I couldn't stomach the thought of being the problem. And I got scared. I can't have this job taken away from me. So, I convinced myself that I'd be protecting everybody by being here. But I ended up putting my own son in harm's way.
Bode: I'm fine. It's okay.
Vince: It's not okay. I'm gonna go to the hospital. And then I'll go home. And then I'm going to recommend you run 42. 'Cause I don't trust anybody more than I trust you.
Sharon: You just want me somewhere where I can't yell at you.
Vince: Yeah, that too.

Luke: Uh, Sharon's part of our 42 crew. Her husband is Batallion Chief Leone.
Sharon: I know Joe Blanchard and everyone in NorCal because, for 15 years, I had Luke's job.
Governor: Impressive.
Eve: Uh, ma'am. If I may? All the dozers in the world can't match teams. We need con's crew up there. They're a huge part of CalFire's operations. And if you want to put out that fire, save Three Rock.
Sharon: Yes. She's right. That's what this night is about.
Governor: Yes, I see that. I have to say I'm surprised at the big push. Luke made a very strong case when he recommended closing Three Rock.
Mickey: I arrested her son when he was a teenager for breaking and entering.
Sharon: Wow. Thanks. Uh, yeah, he stole some baseball cleats from a shoe store.
Mickey: She still blames me for how his life turned out.
Sharon: I absolutely do not. But you really could have given him a warning instead of arresting him.
Mickey: Uh, I gave him about six different warnings before I finally had to arrest him.
Sharon: You know, I'm sorry. Uh, don't go. I was nuts when it came to Bode. I, um, yeah. I just lost Riley. He was all that I had left. And I thought you were going to save him. Or I was going to save him. But he has to save himself. And he is. I said some really awful things to you. And I'd like a chance to be a sister again. A better sister.
Mickey: No.
Vince: It's Mickey. Want to take that?
Sharon: No. She's calling you.
Vince: You've been wanting to make up with her. So.
Sharon: I know. Not now. Not ready.
Vince: She's not the enemy. She's your sister.
Sharon: Alright, fine.
Sharon: We were a family. And cause we didn't share any DNA, when our parents split, we split.
Mickey: But here we are. Fighting. Apologizing. Almost like real sisters. I mean, look at them. None of them share your DNA. But they're your family. You did that. You created this big, amazing family that we all want to be a part of. Least, most of the time.
Bode: You got the results. She's not mine.
Sharon: No. But it doesn't matter. Nothing has to change.
Vince: Custodial judge said that DNA is not a determining factor. That custody will go to whoever has the kid's best interest at heart.
Sharon: And that can still be you.
Bode: Does she know?
Sharon: No.
Bode: I promised her mom. I promised Cara.
Sharon: I don't think that promise has to change.
Bode: I've messed up so much. I wanted this to be, just the one good thing that I do. I wanted her to have a family. Even if we aren't her family.
Sharon: We are.
