Much SF deals with aliens experiencing emotion for the first time and learning to deal with it. Data in Star Trek is one of the last fully developed examples. It will be interesting to see a reptile, booted into mammalian emotions, come to terms with this. I find it interesting that the writers chose to anthropromorphize the reptilian aliens. This posits the argument that they are in some way or on some level "like" us. Are they from earth, reptiles that took a different route? Did they visit earth once before, leave behind their seed that climbed ashore and became us. Is this why they appear to move so easily into human emotions? Will they or can they trigger the Reptilian mind that is in all of us? Hummm. These are just of possibilities. I wonder even more. I only hope the writers are clever enough to incorporate it all into the series. If they are, it will go from being an interesting SF series to a great one. OH BTW.
