When you watch Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 Episode 1, the new season starts with a strange scene following a man as he gets ready for the day. It's obvious that he's no normal human when he pulls off his skin to take a shower before getting dressed to join a tactical team to kidnap Coulson and company from the diner. The team, minus Fitz, is carted away and regains awareness just before they're absorbed into a mysterious obelisk similar to the one that transported Simmons to another planet. They appear separately in what appears to be a space station in the middle of some sort of asteroid field. There are many dead bodies around, but Coulson meets a man named Virgil, who is very excited to meet him. Virgil apparently knows exactly who Coulson is and was waiting for him to appear. He also claims that Coulson and his team are going to save them. Unfortunately, an alien "roach" appears and kills Virgil before he can say much more. It becomes a matter of survival for the team to come together and find out exactly what's happened to them.
