Recap

Aziraphale prepares magical defenses against the army of Hell’s minions about to storm his bookshop. At the same time, he answers Nina’s questions about the ball and its real purpose.

Shax flings open the doors, intent on entering the store. Aziraphale tells her she is not welcome.

In Heaven, Crowley changes his outfit to blend in and insists Muriel take him to her office to look at the records.

At the bookshop, Maggie trash talks Shax but accidentally invites them in.

The army rushes in, stopping at Aziraphale’s magical defense. He offers them a chance to retreat, but Shax warns them she'll destroy them if they try that.

In Heaven, Muriel realizes she’s helping Crowley. She calls up the file on Gabriel. Crowley’s able to open it despite it being confidential.

In the bookshop, Shax urges the demons to pursue Aziraphale. As they step into Aziraphale’s circle, they are beamed up and disintegrated.

The records show Michael presenting a plan for the end of the world. She, Uriel, and Saraqael are in agreement, but Gabriel dissents.

Maggie and Nina hold off the demons with fire extinguishers for a time.

Crowley wonders why Gabriel refused to approve the second Armageddon. Saraqael arrives and explains that they put Gabriel on trial.

Nina, Maggie, Aziraphale, and Jim/Gabriel fortify themselves at the top level of the bookshop.

At the trial, Gabriel is removed from his position as Supreme Archangel. He expects to be cast into Hell but instead he’s being demoted to 38th class recording angel. He grabs a box to clear out his desk.

With the extinguishers exhausted, Maggie and Nina start throwing encyclopedias at the attackers.

On the surveillance footage, Crowley watches Gabriel write something on the box. He leaves for the transporter naked, dropping the matchbox by the transporter.

Having run out of options, Aziraphale removes his halo and drops it down to the enemy where it explodes.

In Heaven, they feel the explosion. Crowley rides down with archangels and Muriel. When they arrive, Aziraphale explains what happened.

Just then, Hell’s higher-ups arrive, interpreting the explosion as a declaration of war. Crowley denies it.

He asks Aziraphale for the box Gabriel arrived with. Flipping it over, there’s writing that reads, “I am in the fly.”

Crowley asks Beelzebub to find the fly. She locates it and returns it to Gabriel. It burrows into his eye and restores his memories.

After Armageddon is averted, Gabriel and Beelzebub begin background talks and find they have a lot in common. They meet again later and decide not to have Armageddon again. Beelzebub shares her enjoyment of the song that’s playing, Buddy Holly’s “Everyday.” Gabriel learns that this is music and decides he also likes it.

They meet again in Edinburgh. Gabriel shows Beelzebub the statue. At the Resurrectionist Pub, Gabriel sees the jukebox and changes its song to Buddy Holly’s “Everyday” for Beelzebub. In exchange for the song, Beelzebub gives him a fly that is also a container. She slips it into a matchbox and gives it to Gabriel.

In the present-day, Gabriel comes back to his senses and recognizes everyone around him. He sees Beelzebub and explains that he was trying to come to her but forgot on the way.

Crowley escorts Nina and Maggie out of the store. There’s a queue outside Nina’s shop. In the line is the Metatron. As he leaves, Crowley brings Mr. Brown back. Maggie gives Nina a hand getting the shop going.

Everyone’s shouting in the bookshop. Aziraphale imposes order and asks Gabriel and Beelzebub what they want to do. They just want to be together. Singing their song, they disappear.

Michael tries to set herself up as Supreme Archangel but the Metatron enters and sends the archangels back to heaven.

Maggie and Nina come to the store and find only Crowley. They explain Aziraphale and Crowley need to stop messing in their life.

They also point out to Crowley that he and Aziraphale are real partners.

Alone together, The Metatron offers Aziraphale the position of Supreme Archangel. He says he can even bring Crowley.

The Metatron finds Muriel reading a book.

Aziraphale tells Crowley about the Metatron’s offer. Crowley’s not impressed.

Crowley tells Aziraphale how he feels about the two of them and how they should go off together. But Aziraphale wants them to be together in Heaven. Crowley gets frustrated and kisses Aziraphale. It’s not a tender kiss. Aziraphale forgives him. Crowley storms out.

The Metatron comes in and tells Aziraphale Muriel will watch the shop.

They leave to catch the transporter. Crowley watches from a distance. The Metatron is excited to get started on the next big project, The Second Coming.

Good Omens Season 2 Episode 6 Quotes

Muriel: Do you know how much trouble I’ll get into for this?
Crowley: It’s fine. You’re forgetting about the bees.
Muriel: Bees?
Crowley: Angels are like bees. Fiercely protective of their hive if you’re trying to get inside. Once you’re in, well, then. Is it even faintly possible that an unauthorized demon might be just wandering around in Heaven unescorted?
Muriel: [shakes her head]
Crowley: Mm, bees.
Muriel: But you don’t look like a bee! You look like a murder hornet or a snake.

Nina: Will you just answer a simple question?
Aziraphale: If I hear one, of course.
