When Brando Wilkes shows up, Zoe uses the opportunity to get to know her Wilkes family. Brando and Zoe are enjoying their day until Vivian Wilkes makes her appearance and announces that they will never accept her in their family.

When Joel's grandma convinces her not to give up, Zoe eventually wins over the Wilkes family and is accepted by them. Wade is afraid to go to the dentist because of the pain, so Tansy helps him out. While under the influence of anxiety pills, Wade kisses Zoe. The next day they vow to never speak of it again.

After Tansy takes care of Wade, he offers her a job at the Rammer Jammer where she has her first run in with George, causing some awkward tension. George and Linley convince Lavon that their relationship is okay and that George isn't going to hurt Linley. After deciding to propose to Shelby, Brick learns that he is not the father of her child.

Lemon has to leave Bluebell for a bit to take care of Grandma Breeland's broken hip.
