Issa is still sleeping on Daniel's couch but is uncomfortable by all the women that he has sex with while she's in the apartment. Issa is still at We Got Y'all, but after the snafu last season involving a potential lawsuit, Issa is no longer allowed to interact with people at schools in person and is confined to the office. She begins Lyft driving for extra cash on the side.

Meanwhile, Molly and Dro are still sleeping together, but Molly is still uncomfortable about their situation and about Dro being married. Molly insists on staying friends with benefits, but Dro clearly wants more.

In order to avoid Daniel after he makes a pass at her, Issa decides to go out and drive a Lyft, Molly in tow to keep her company. Dubbing it the "party Lyft," they pick up two men who end up having a huge physical fight in the backseat. Molly and Dro continue to hook up, despite Molly's desire to keep her life together with her new job. Issa later admits her feelings for Daniel and says that she knows Daniel has her back, even if Issa still wants to avoid getting into a relationship with him again.

This episode also introduces a new TV-show-within-a-TV-show.
