Law & Order: SVU Season 17 Episode 15 starts off as a typical case, but quickly transitions into the story of the detectives versus one of their own. When sports star Teddy Hawkins propositions an underage girl during an undercover operation, he is arrested and makes a deal in which he gets reduced charges in exchange for providing names of people who watch child porn. The detectives stake out these suspects and arrest two of them when they go online to a child porn site.

The third suspect almost doesn't get caught, but shows up online at the last second. Rollins and Carisi burst in and find an old man with a cane who doesn't know how to use a computer or what a modem is. He has a modem installed for watching cable TV and says his neighbor did it.

The cops visit the neighbor, who turns out to be Pippa Abraham. Her husband, Hank, is the deputy commissioner -- and he is watching child porn when they come in.

Hank is surprised when he is arrested and quietly taken to the squad room. He claims he accessed child porn by accident, but Tucker has proof he watched on multiple occasions. Afterwards, Hank claims a political enemy hacked into his system to make it look like he is a regular porn viewer.

Hank's wife, Pippa, works for child services and doesn't believe her husband is guilty. She has to suffer through her children being interviewed to see if Hank has abused them and her husband's arraignment. She collapses in Benson's arms when she finally gets that Hank is actually guilty as charged.

Pippa falls apart. She sends her kids to her parents and becomes depressed over the fact that she didn't know what her husband was up to. Meanwhile, Hank refuses to take a plea. He wants to go to rehab but will face federal charges if Barba can't resolve the case.

Meahwhile, Dodds Senior pressures Mike to leave SVU for Joint Terrorism. Mike doesn't want to but doesn't see a way to make his father accept that.
