Law & Order: SVU Season 22 Episode 2 deals with domestic violence.

While Fin must be deposed in a lawsuit related to his shooting Leon, the rest of the team is called in on a domestic violence case.

A 14-year-old boy, Will, has come to school with bruises, and the nurse says he always has a story for how he got hurt. Will tells Kat that he was mugged getting off the bus. His father, a cop, puts a stop to the interrogation.

Things get more intense when Will's abusive stepfather is found dead. He was electrocuted in the bathtub. Will's dad claims Will was with him but Will's six-year-old sister lets the truth slip.

Will is arrested and Carisi decides to try him as an adult to try to force his mother to tell the truth about what happened. Meanwhile, both Will's father and his mother's lawyer are just as abusive to her as her boyfriend ever was.

While all this is going on, Fin must sit through a deposition in a wrongful death suit where he shot a man who was using his son as a shield.
