When you watch New Girl Season 4 Episode 16 online you will get a special tour of Portland, Oregon thanks to the wonderful tour guide Jess. While everyone is packing to go to Portland for Jess's dad's wedding, she tries to get ahold of Ryan to find out when he is coming. She informs everyone she hasn't talked to Ryan in a week but she expects him to be at the wedding. When they arrive in Portland and go to a local winery Jess gets a call from Ryan and he tells her he is unable to make it because he would have to be back at work on Monday and there is no way he would be able to fly back in time. Jess is visibly upset, but she tries not to let it get to her and Nick even decides they should all go on the tour Jess had put together for Ryan. While on the tour she takes them to all of her childhood spots and at the last spot, her childhood home, her mom Joan has a banner up welcoming Ryan to her house. When Jess tells Joan Ryan cancelled she gets emotional and locks herself in her room. Nick goes to talk to her and tells her what Ryan is doing is wrong and that he should be here for her, but Jess doesn't want to listen to him. Thankfully after the wedding and seeing how happy her father is Jess makes the decision to break up with Ryan.
