A war ensues when Mother goes on the warpath looking for the Mythraiks after the children go missing. 

Marcus and Sue realize Paul has separated from the others and go after him. 

Mother arrives and starts laying waste to the land. 

An Android is sent out into the open to check if Mother is gone. 

She kills her. 

Campion and the others keep going. 

Father realizes that Mother did not kill the kids and that it is all a case of radiation. 

Things take a turn when Paul falls and almost dies.
