When you watch Salem Season 2 Episode 11, you'll see how far one parent will go to protect their child and save them from the dark side. John and Cotton prepare to do an exorcism on little John and in the process, little John reveals John is his father, but Cotton shockingly is very calm with the information. Cotton leaves the cottage to clear his mind before the exorcism and John tells little John a story to try to relax him, but things take a turn when he starts to get agitated and tries to get John to untie him. Thankfully, Cotton shows up before anything bad can happen, but little John has a complete meltdown which shows the demon inside of him. The men start the exorcism and it's clear the demon inside little John is extremely strong and almost kills Cotton and tries to take hold of John until John physically throws his son against the wall, thinking he killed him. Little John is revealed as being alive, but John doesn't want to take anymore chances and sends him away with Cotton so Countess Marburg can't get her hands on him. Unfortunately, Cotton unknowingly hands the child over to Countess Marburg who is disguised as Anne. Meanwhile, John is surrounded by Countess Marburg's men, but it's Sebastian who drives a dagger in his chest and seemingly kills John. You can catch up on this season of Salem anytime. Salem Season 2 Episode 11 Quotes

John: Did you have any friends?
John Alden: Well let's see. There was a boy, Isaac, he was a kind and simple soul -- still is, but do you know who my dearest friend, the one I loved most already, even when I was your age?
John: Who?
John Alden: Why, the girl who turned out to be your mother.
John: I miss her.
John Alden: Me too.

Isaac: You're all fornicators; screwing each other every day of the week, including Sabbath. I swear, if Jesus Christ walked the streets of Salem, he wouldn't find a man worth saving.
Magistrate Hawthorne: This is vile blasphemy and you will hang for it.
Isaac: Go on then, hang me! Hang me! Done died on those stocks years ago. You all so busy looking for where the evil came from, you brought it with you.
