Recap

Bobby wants to find out where the schism between Clay and Jax began. He thinks it centers on Donna's death, but Tig quickly pushes him off this train of thought. Opie says that he will get Jax to open up to him; Bobby puts Tig in charge of talking to Clay. Tig tries to talk to him, but Clay turns it around on him, saying that he's gone soft since killing Donna.

Opie tries to reach out to Jax, telling him that perhaps the rift they find between each other originated with the schism between Jax and Clay. Jax tells Opie that he feels like he's losing all his friends.

Chibs wakes up in the hospital and finds an old acquaintance watching over him, Fiona Larkin - apparently Mrs. Chibs. Gemma is not pleased to see Fiona, afraid that her arrival will further screw up Chibs. Gemma admits that she is afraid of Fiona. She tries to persuade Tara's boss, the hospital administrator, to keep Chibs under Tara's care.

Elliot Oswald, the man who paid SAMCRO's bail, reaches out to Clay. Jacob Hale is making a push for his land again, planning on running for mayor of Charming to use the office's power to seize Oswald's property. Oswald is determined to run against Hale and asks Clay for the club's support. Clay says that he will need a parcel of Oswald's land for himself - "Guns?" Oswald asks. As a show of good faith, Clay gives Oswald back the knife with his fingerprints on it that the club used to kill the man who raped Oswald's daughter, telling Oswald he no longer has anything on him.

The porn studio's been broken into; the thieves made off with some equipment and left a dead, mutilated guard dog behind. Also a shaken Lyla, who needs Opie to calm her down. The crew assumes that Georgie is behind the break-in; Jax, Opie and Bobby head down to his studio, bringing Chuck along. With Chuck running interference on the bodyguard, the three club members rush Georgie. They take their gear back and destroy his laptop. He tries to threaten them but Opie warns him that if he comes near Lyla again, he'll kill him. As the crew leaves, Georgie and his bodyguard plot their revenge.

The Chinese reach out to SAMCRO. They're losing turf to the Mayans and need guns. As a show of good faith, Lynn attempts to give the crew back Chuck, the crooked accountant with the, er, tugging problem. Clay does not want him, and leaves Chuck to be killed by the Chinese; in a surprising display of kindness, Tig saves Chuck, telling Clay that the numbers man can run the books at the studio.

Jax determines that the Chinese need the weapons to move in on Niners' turf. He takes Bobby and Opie to see Laroy, but when they walk into his clubhouse they find it swarming with Mayans. The Mayans, flush with AKs from Ethan Zobelle, have taken over the Niner clubhouse and declare the truce with SAMCRO over.

Edmond Hayes wakes up to find Clay, Tig and the Prospect sitting in his living room, asking after the AKs they were supposed to buy from the Irishmen. Hayes tells them he sold them to someone else. The crew leaves, but Prospect sits on the house, waiting to see if Hayes will reveal where the guns are. He spots AJ Weston arriving to pick up the hardware. When Clay cannot reach Jax, Opie or Bobby, as they are being held by the Mayans, he plans a raid on the guns. More League of American Nationals members show up and a gunfight ensues, during which Prospect shows his resolve and Tig shows that he may have gone soft after all. The League, outnumbering SAMCRO, makes off with the guns.

At Gemma's dinner, tensions are high. Tara is upset with Gemma because her threats against the hospital administrator have resulted in Tara getting a complaint filed against her. Lyla is upset because Tara continues her unwelcoming ways. Clay and Tig arrive and are upset at Jax, Bobby and Opie for not being there when they needed them against the League. Jax, Bobby and Opie are upset because they feel they were protecting the club. Bobby gets upset at Tig for discussing club business in front of non-members.

Tig, perhaps trying to show he's not soft, tries to attack Bobby. Before the fight can boil over, Deputy Hale arrives and tells the crew that Luanne has been found murdered, beaten to death with a baseball bat. This causes Clay and Tig to erupt, furious at Jax and Bobby for bringing this death on Luanne and the club. Jax screams, "I'm not the one killing women!" In an attempt to get the fighting to stop, a visibly shaken Gemma shatters a tray. As the episode ends, we have to wonder if the crew itself has been shattered beyond repair.

Sons of Anarchy Season 2 Episode 8 Quotes

Half-Sack: It's a little bit painful when I ride. Sometimes I feel it when I walk. Other than that, back to normal.
Tig: Is it gay that I want to see it?
Bobby: Gay curious.
Tig: Come on, drop 'em.

Jax: Is there anything you love so much, you'd protect it, no matter the cost; the damage it did to you?
Tara: Yeah. Yeah, a child.
Jax: Yeah. That's how I feel about this club. Since I was five Tara, all I've ever wanted was a Harley and cut. Change won't happen quick, or without blood, but it'll happen. It has to.
