On The Goldbergs Season 2 Episode 6, Adam gets that bad news that they are going to be starting dodge ball in PE. When Adam gets home from school and his mother sees the bruises on Adam, she asks him how he is feeling. Adam downplays his injuries and tries to convince his mother that everything is going to be alright and that he can take it. Beverly being the smother that she is does not listen to Adam and goes down to the school. When she confronts that Coach she thinks that she got through to him but it backfires on her when Coach Meller singles out Adam and has the whole class throw the dodge balls at Adam. When Beverly finds out she goes straight to the principal and gets the Coach fired. Murray tries to help out the down and out teacher but things backfire on him when Coach Meller takes things to the extreme. Thankfully the Coach gets his job back after he apologizes for singling out Adam.

Meanwhile, Erica brings home a new board game called Trivial Pursuit and beats Barry at it. This causes Barry to get extremely angry and shows how much of a sore loser he is. Barry then makes up his own board game called, Barrynopoly, but Erica again beats him at his own game. Barry tells finally reveals to her that he can never catch a break with her because she is so smart and that people just expect him to be the dumb one. Erica takes pity on him and challenges him to a game of Trivial Pursuit and she lets him win.
