The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 2 picks up the COVID storyline.

In a sad twist of fate, the nurse that tended to the patient who nobody knew had COVID ends up contracting the disease herself, and Morgan has to take care of her as she deteriorates. The nurse encourages Morgan to be kind and to find her place in the hospital. Eventually, Morgan is by her side as she slips away.

Meanwhile, Shaun is having a hard time figuring out how to cope with the pandemic. He misses Lea and doesn't like not knowing when he will see her again, and fears her getting COVID. He also must take care of Martin, who is having all sorts of organ problems because of COVID.

After Shaun gets into it with Martin's wife, Andrews tells him not to lash out at patients again. Meanwhile, Shaun talks to Glassman, who encourages him to be kind.

Glassman himself is not dealing with things well either, especially since he can't find a way to get Debbie to forgive him for their earlier argument.

And finally, Park struggles to stay in touch with his son while stuck at the hospital.
