The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 3 revolves around some potential new residents.

Six applicants are invited to shadow Shaun, Claire, and Park for a few days. One of them, Allen, makes an impression right away by arguing with Andrews about whether a teenager should be allowed to have breast implant surgery. Andrews is not happy with either or her Shaun for having this conversation in front of the patient, but later tells Shaun that he likes that Allen has the guts to stand up to him.

Meanwhile, everyone is annoyed by Will Hooper, one of the other applicants, who is smug, self-assured, and interrupts all the time, but Lim seems to think he's a top-rate choice.

Meanwhile, Morgan consults Claire and Lim when she has a patient with a heart tumor, but she can't seem to accept that she's not a surgeon anymore and tries to butt in to Claire and Lim's decisions all the time.

And when Shaun inadvertently insults Lea, he struggles to figure out what to do to soothe her hurt feelings, especially since he thought he was just being honest.
