The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 20 is all about moving forward in life.

After a power failure, Shaun finds fulfillment in figuring out how to do surgery without electricity, which turns out to be unnecessary as the power comes back on as soon as he's finished. But he is aware that Lea is still sad over the death of their baby and doesn't know what to do. Glassman tells Shaun that Shaun doesn't need him so much anymore and has the answers himself.

Meanwhile, Lea helps out a mother whose baby is not breathing and there is no ventilator available, and after the crisis is resolved the mother insists that Lea hold the infant.

Claire encourages the daughter of her patient, who feels guilty because the only reason her mother gets surgery is that Miguel was too sick to qualify and lost his place in line. Then Claire begins the surgery and discovers the woman's condition is worse than she thought. Andrews thinks further surgery is too risky, but Lim agrees that Claire should go ahead.

Finally, Morgan attempts to fill in when the team is short a surgeon and it's the only way to save a patient while Lim talks to her new beau about her PTSD.

Shaun: It would be fatal. Not to her, but to a patient down the line that we'd have to drop.

Lim: What?
