The Gang Gets a Call From HR
Recap
Democratic National Committee Chairman Frank Landau asks Reddick, Boseman, & Lockhart for help with a plan to engage African-American voters, and the discussion turns to reparations.
However, as the attorneys talk about ways to implement reparations in today's society, Adrian quotes Vernon Jordan and uses the n-word.
Someone then goes to HR and reports the "incident."
Adrian goes and talks with Firth, who said the best course of action is to hold sensitivity training for all employees.
Adrian is angry and contemplates quitting, but Liz talks him out of it.
Determined to sue Rare Orchard, Diane is shocked to learn that all of the missing court documents associated with the case are missing.
Therefore, Diane decides to bring a new suit against the company -- as the previous case no longer exists -- but her efforts are stalled when Judge Hazlewood is given a paper with Memo 618.
Diane asks Julius about the Memo 618, and he tells her to ask Adrian's girlfriend. When Diane talks to Adrian about it, Adrian doesn't seem to know anymore than Diane does.
Marissa befriends Caleb Garlin, an STR Laurie associate, after Liz and Adrian believe he is leaking information about their books to STR Laurie.
However, Caleb later lets Marissa know if was Frank Landau, not him, who informed STR Laurie.
