When you watch The Mysteries of Laura Season 2 Episode 3, you'll quickly learn that money doesn't always buy happiness. Laura and her team are called to the crime scene of a young tech wiz, Zach, who was seemingly killed by someone without arms, legs and hair which quickly confuses everyone. Laura interviews Zach's maid and she informs her that Zach only had his mother and his business partner in his life. Zach always wanted a simple life, but when he made his first billion, everyone came out of the woodwork and tried to get a piece of him so Zach basically became a recluse. The first suspect on thier list was Shane, Zach's business partner, who does turn out to be a complete jerk but also has an alibi for the night Zach was murdered. Thankfully he's able to provide the name of a woman named Abby who was obsessed with Zach. Meredith and Billy go to talk to her, but a Abby assaults Billy and she's quickly brought to the station for questioning. It became clear Abby never had a real relationship with Zach, but she is able to provide a lead on another suspect who seen Zach hours before he was murdered. It turns out, Zach was visiting with his deadbeat father at a Chinese restaurant, but when the team interviews him he has a alibi because he was busy stealing from the Apple Store. When the team thinks they don't have any more suspects, they go through Zach's computer and find some voicemails from Zach's childhood friend Jordan who was suicidal. Jordan tried to get Zach to help him, but Zach never listened to the messages. Jordan assumed Zach had forgotten about him and, in his rage, murdered Zach with a drone he put together with knives on it. Don't feel bad if you missed out!
