They find out Nina and her friend had created a cancer charity, but it turns out Nina was stealing money from the charity without the friend knowing. Through their investigation they find out Nina was working with her friend Ted and scamming people out of their money. When Nina wanted to come clean about everything, Ted killed her because he didn't want to give up the money. The team is able to catch Ted quickly and he immediately confesses to the crime. Meanwhile, Laura and Tony are still going strong despite Laura still having feelings for Jake. When Laura tries to reassure Jake that her relationship with Tony is nothing serious, he doesn't appear to care because he wants Laura to be happy and she's made it clear he isn't the one for her.
