Daryl is on an overturned boat in the water. He washes up in France and is shocked when he sees that's his location.

He's desperate for supplies and shelter, so he rushes through the streets to the marina and finds a boat.

He listens to recording in there. It's a man revealing what happened to his family, and Daryl records over it.

He says he's from the Commonwealth and wants to return home. He leaves the boat and walks into a building but is attacked by walkers -- faster than what he's dealt with before.

He escapes but is badly burnt and asks people for help. Unfortunately, they're ambushed by mercenaries. Daryl kills one and they fend off the others.

However, Maribelle and her grandfather trick Daryl and knock him out. Isabelle shows up to save him.

She takes him to the monastery and nurses him back to health. She believes he's been sent to save everyone and take Laurent where he needs to go.

Daryl balks at the idea and says that he needs a radio. Laurent is being bigged up as this savior, but Daryl doesn't believe any of it.

Codron and his people find Maribelle and kill her grandfather. She blames everything on the American.

Daryl leaves the monastery but hears engines revving and sneaks back in when they open fire.

The mercenaries are looking for Daryl and he tries everything to kill them, but one escapes.

The sisters are all killed, with Sylvia, Isabelle, Laurent, and Daryl as the sole survivors.

Daryl helps them burn the bodies and we're left questioning what he will do next.

Somewhere on the other side of France, Genet shows up at the boat and finds herself questioning what happened.

She's doing experiments on walkers and knows that Daryl destroyed everything.

They think he's dead, but she's concerned there's more at stake here.
