PART I: On New Year's Eve, a storm rages outside as Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Karen (Nia Peeples) enjoy each other’s company and audition some jazz singers at Indigo. Karen plays around singing Christmas songs. Neil is impressed with her voice. Nick insists that the suit against Victor is a repercussion for pushing Nikki too far.

PART II: Victor becomes angry at Nick and says they should be pulling together as a family, not falling apart. Phyllis runs into Nikki on her way out of the coffee shop. Nikki updates Phyllis that baby Reed is doing better. Phyllis expresses her concern for the well-being of Nick and Victor’s relationship.

PART III: Victor (Eric Braeden) informs Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that if they're going to work things out, it has to be on his terms. Nikki turns to leave, but Victor stops her. Victor insists that she stay with him and out of the blizzard. Sharon reveals to Jack (Peter Bergman) about her plans to inform Noah they are moving out tomorrow. Jack insists she prolong the news until after the New Year.

PART IV: Sharon (Sharon Case) tells Jack that she will wait until tomorrow to reveal to Noah they are leaving. Suddenly Gloria charges in from the snowstorm and announces that her letter from John is authentic. Jack informs Gloria that she is no longer welcome in his home. Jack insists, to his attorney, that it is vitally important that he stop Gloria from getting her hands on John’s inheritance.

PART V: Sharon thinks Jack should give Gloria the money. Noah overhears their conversation and sneaks out the door into the blizzard. Later, Nick opens his front door to find Noah. Noah confesses to Nick he overheard Sharon talking about leaving Jack. Sharon calls Jack to inform him that she is staying at Nick’s because of the blizzard. Just then there is a knock at the door. Jack opens the door and is shocked to see Ashley.
