Ben Tallmadge tells General Washington about the failure of the Culper Ring, and he tries to resign as Head of Intelligence.

 

But Washington is not convinced that the ring is done, because they still have one spy left in New York: Abigail!

 

Ben approaches Anna about getting a pass from former flame Major Hewlett in order to get into New York to talk to Abigail. Anna stops to apologize to Hewlett for ripping his heart out of his chest, then finds out from Abigail and that Benedict Arnold is a traitor.

 

Meanwhile, the British plan an attack on Washington's Camp after they figure out where it is located from Benedict Arnold's letter. Robert Townsend finds out about the British raid on Middlebrook and decides to ride through the night to get the intelligence to what's left of the ring in Setauket.

 

Townsend arrives in Setauket just as Capt. Simcoe terrorizes the citizens in his quest to find Robert Rogers (who is actually in New York). Caleb rushes the intel back to Washington, and after they clear the camp at Middlebrook, Ben decides to ambush the British-held garrison at Stony Point. The plan works, and Ben has proven that he can be both a soldier and a spy.

 

General Arnold and Peggy get married(gasp).
