On Zoo Season 1 Episode 5, Chloe, Mitch, and Abraham head to Rio to investigate why swarms of bats are overtaking the city, while Jackson and Jamie stay in Alabama to find out more about Leo Butler, a man whose name continually appeared in Evan Lee Hartley's bible. Leo Butler is connected to Reiden Global, and holds the answers that Jamie has been looking for for several years. Jackson and Agent Shaffer team up to search Leo Butler's home for answers. After she makes a few mistakes, Mitch begins to believe that Chloe has no field experience, which concerns him, seeing as how she is their field leader. Abraham shows Chloe and Mitch that he understands how things work in certain parts of the world. Chloe makes a phone call to Jackson that gives her a revelation about the bats' behavior. Evan goes to deadly lengths to get what he wants. In Boston, a dying little girl suffering from seizures is desperate to save her dog after he has been hit by a car. Her family can't afford to pay for the dog's treatment, however her estranged father possibly can... but who is he, and will they call him?
