1. About Time!
Damon reuniting with the real Elena was worth the wait. These two characters have really been through the mill. It's time for them to get their happy ending.
2. Elena Can't Be Moved
Stefan realized the hard way that it was not going to be easy to get Elena out of harm's way.
3. Hello, Brother
The final scene found the Salvatore brothers meeting in the afterlife at peace with their time on earth coming to an end. It was a powerful end to a wonderful series.
4. It's Katherine!
Damon and Stefan thought they were finally greeting Elena, but they were mistaken. It was Katherine, who had a score to settle.
5. Get Back Here, Katerina!
Katherine got wind of the big plan to send her back to hell, but Damon knew she would try to get away, so he threw a dagger in her back.
6. Was Bonnie Dead?
Bonnie's heart stopping briefly meant she got to reunite with Elena. There's no chance that was really Katherine, right? The fates couldn't have been THAT cruel.
7. Love Wins
After finishing her diary, Elena and Damon went off to live the rest of their life together.
8. With a Little Help From my Ancestors
Bonnie got help from her ancestors with the biggest spell of her life to save Mystic Falls. It was delightful.
9. Family First
Something about the above scene foreshadowed this being the final time Steroline would embrace.
10. Damon Compels Stefan
Just when it seemed like Stefan was poised to die, Damon apparently compelled him to run from Mystic Falls.
11. Damon Is Human
Stefan returns with his blood to turn his brother into a human, repaying him for turning him into a vampire.
12. Katherine and Stefan Die
Stefan held Katherine to send her to hell just as the hellfire caught up with them. Sob.
13. Salvatore Boarding House
Alaric and Caroline opened the boarding school for magical children and used Salvatore mansion.
14. Jeremy Has a Purpose
Caroline gave Jeremy something to do that did not involve him complaining.
15. Klaroline on the Horizon?
Klaus sent Caroline a donation for the school, but could this mean he might be sending Hope to the school?
16. Family Reunion
Elena finally found peace and reunited with every family member she lost over the course of the series.
