16 Relationships That Won Our Hearts

at .

Everybody loves a good relationship, whether it's a gooey romance, a platonic friendship or a snazzy team at work.

Check out the best from the 2016-17 television season!

1. Barry Allen and Iris West - The Flash

Even with all the maddening, silly soap opera obstacles thrown in front of them, I still like the West-Allen ship on "The Flash." The writers have gradually given Iris more depth as a character, so I hope they will finally give her the attention she deserves. She's the glue that holds the STAR Labs Scooby Gang together, and she has the patience of a saint to still be with that dolt Barry Allen after all his selfish, misguided, idiotic antics. Hopefully, his time in the Speed Force prison will make him realize how lucky he is to have her, and we can finally have a proper romance between the two.

2. Alex and Maggie - Supergirl

Alex's coming out story and her relationship with Maggie has been one of the best parts of Supergirl Season 2. Simply put, they're absolutely adorable but more than that they love and support each other. When they have a conflict, they talk it out and deal with it maturely. Sure, they're moving a little fast, but they have jobs that keep them in constant danger. Life is short, so here's to a Sanvers wedding in Season 3! - Stacy

3. Captain Swan - Once Upon a Time

Captain Swan on Once Upon a Time. Emma and Killian have been put through the ringer for several seasons, but Once Upon a Time Season 6 took everything to the next level. They moved in together, got engaged, and then experienced the dark night of the soul moment when he was kidnapped and she thought he abandoned her. They came through it stronger than ever, celebrated with a beautiful, musical wedding, and fought evil one last time to earn their happily ever after. - Mandy

4. Lena and Stef Adams-Foster - The Fosters

They're #RelationshipGoals. It's nothing short of a miracle that these women can still have such a healthy marriage while juggling their brood of lovable, trouble magnet children. Honestly, they should be sainted. But some time between court cases, pregnancy scares, life-threatening injuries, murder investigations, and financial difficulties this couple managed to renew their vows and reaffirm that Love is Love. - Jasmine

5. Booth and Brennan - Bones

Though we said goodbye to Booth and Brennan this year with the end of Bones, it was comforting to see the strength of their relationship until the end. In a moment when Brennan thought her life was changed forever, Booth assured her they could get through anything together – something we've seen time and again. - Ashley

6. Elizabeth and Henry McCord - Madam Secretary

The McCord family. Elizabeth and Henry McCord not only have the most stable, loving marriage on TV, they also have the most wonderfully family. As Secretary of State and a consultant with the NSA, Elizabeth and Henry can literally have the fate of the world in their hands, yet they manage to strike the perfect balance between their important, high-stress jobs, parenting three teenagers, and keeping their romance alive. Best of all, their kids are smart, sometimes snarky, yet loyal and loving. It’s hard to find a better TV family than the McCords. - Christine

7. Olitz - Scandal

Here's the thing: Olitz has always been polarizing to fans, and part of that is the show's knack for shoving this relationship down our throats. Scandal Season 6 had just the right dose of everything, solidifying it as the show's best since Season 2. Part of that was down to putting Olitz back together and knowing the exact amount of time to spend on their relationship per episode. - Paul

8. The TAC Team - Bull

The T.A.C. Team on Bull: this is the A-Team of jury science and everyone has their niche and expertise as well as their vulnerability. Michael Weatherly's Dr. Jason Bull anchors them as captain and could easily chomp on a cigar and mumble how much he loves it when a plan comes together at least once an episode. The team is able to question decisions freely but ultimately trusts each other to be the best they can be. With Marissa's wisdom, Cable's tech savvy-ness, Danny's spy skills, Benny's courtroom brilliance, and Chunk's sensible flair, this team pulls together and makes magic happen. - Diana

9. McGee and Gibbs - NCIS

McGee has grown a lot since we first met him, from a nervous young agent to Gibbs's right-hand man. Gibbs has encouraged him both professionally and personally, so it was incredibly heartwarming in NCIS Season 14 Episode 23 when Gibbs stood by McGee and advised him to just "breathe" when overcome by the stress of his fiancee facing a health crisis. And at the end of the episode, when McGee married Delilah, Gibbs presented him with the watch off his own wrist, which had been given to Gibbs's father by his mother on their wedding day, and was now engraved with the words "Breathe, Tim." - Katie

10. Wolfgang and Kala - Sense8

Wolfgang and Kala from Sense8 are nothing short of intoxicating. They could not be more different and yet that's what makes their relationship work so well. It's unusual, risque and forbidden, but it's one of the best relationships on the show. They have some of the steamiest scenes too. Kalagang is a ship I can get behind. - Jasmine

11. Liv and Clive - iZombie

Liv and Clive from iZombie aren't a romantic pairing, but they easily have one of the best relationships on the show. This season they have gotten closer than ever before because Clive knows the truth about Liv. It has provided viewers with some truly funny moments, but it also has given us some emotional ones as well. They have become more than just partners. They're true friends. - Jasmine

12. Jughead and Betty - Riverdale

Jughead and Betty on Riverdale. They definitely filled the hole in my heart that's been there since Days of Our Lives killed off Paige and destroyed JJ and Paige's beautiful relationship. - Jack

13. Toby and Happy - Scorpion

Toby and Happy finally got married on Scorpion and it was perfect…despite, or maybe because the ceremony took place in the parking lot with a cake made for a bar mitzvah. Happy was absolutely beautiful in her white dress with black boots, and her vows were incredibly sweet. “For a long time, I didn't feel like I fit anywhere until I met you. And I knew then, just like I know how to assemble engines, that you and me, Toby, we fit. You're my home.” My only regret was that we never got to hear Toby’s Han Solo/Princess Leia reference! I look forward to getting to watch these incredibly cute, oddball newlyweds on Scorpion Season 4. - Christine

14. Will and Katie - Colony

Yes, the alien occupation almost tore them apart. Will took a job as a government agent while Katie secretly joined the underground resistance. When her double life came out, it could have destroyed them, but it didn’t. Not only do Will and Katie love and respect one another, but they realize that protecting their family is bigger than both of them. Watching these two work together during such dangerous times makes for thrilling entertainment. We don’t know what’s coming on Colony, but we’re definitely rooting for this couple, and their family to survive. - Christine

15. Ben and Bailey - Grey's Anatomy

Ben and Bailey are easily one of the best couples on Grey's. Yes, she's his boss, but they have a whole "church and state" system in place to keep their work and home lives separate. Does it always work? Of course not, but they still always manage to work it out. Their love and support of each other is what makes them the show's most stable couple.

16. Trish and Roger - Lethal Weapon

Trish and Roger from Lethal Weapon are the ultimate couple. They have one of the most solid relationships on TV. Their love and respect for each other are admirable and the chemistry between Damon Wayans and Keesha Sharp is palpable. Family is the most important thing to them and they include Martin Riggs in that dynamic which makes the Murtaughs even more awesome. - Lisa
