We can hypothesize until we're blue in the face, but the fact remains: the show never addressed how this is possible. They've gone on and on about how Caliban and Lily are doomed to walk the earth eternally, along, resigned to everlasting life -- but it stands to reason that they could be literally ripped in half and pass on that way, right? Not that that's a great option, but still.

There is a lot that still remains to be explored in the Kaetenay/Ethan relationship. Especially now that one of Ethan's three father figures (his actual father) is dead. We assume Ethan would want to know more about the origin of the werewolf curse, and a deeper explanation of why Kaetenay turned Ethan (beyond the "Visions said it was a good idea!" explanation) and guess what? So do we.

He didn't die, which was kind of surprising. Ethan brought out Vanessa's dead body, everyone stared up at her in shock, the clouds and fog of pestilence lifted, and Dracula just sorta flitted away. Now that the subject of his eternal quest (Vanessa) is no longer, what's a poor, misunderstood vampire lookin' for love going to do? It was also incredibly unsatisfying that he, the indirect cause of Vanessa's demise, managed to escape scot-free. I can't imagine that Ethan and Sir Malcolm wouldn't want to hunt him down and destroy him, on behalf of Vanessa. I also want to know much more about his origin and the genesis of his feud with his brother Lucifer.

Ah, the trio of immortals. I would actually be fine with a spinoff focusing on one (or all) of these three. Dorian was certain, in the series finale, that Lily would return to him -- because what else would she, a fellow immortal, do? -- but Lily seemed very set on leaving him behind forever. I also can't imagine that she'd give up on all her grand plans of world domination so easily. Similarly, John Clare was left all alone after the death of his son and banishment by his distraught wife. Maybe they can resolve their differences and hang out? Anyway, whatever they do, I want to know.
