Mount has been added to the cast as Captain Christopher Pike and the image above is the first look at him in action.

Anson Mount confirmed during the panel that Rebecca Romijn will guest star as the original Number One.

Rebecca took to social media after the news broke with the above photo and the following caption:

David Benjamin Tomlinson plays a Saurian named Linus.

Dr. Hugh Culber's fate may have been left up in the air at the close of Season 1, but Wilson Cruz confirmed he will be back for Season 2!

"We talked about this early on, after Tyler and I had a moment in sickbay," Wilson shared with fans at the convention.

"We knew this was a chapter in a very long story, and in any epic love story, we have ups and downs and bumps in the road. This was just a bump … in my neck. I’ll be back, I won’t be telling you how. Discovery showrunner Alex Kurtzman said said "maybe" when he was asked about Lorca's fate. Interesting.

CBS All Access has given the green light to Star Trek: Short Treks.

The showrunner said the following:

"Each episode will deliver closed-ended stories while revealing clues about what’s to come in future Star Trek: Discovery episodes. They’ll also introduce audiences to new characters who may inhabit the larger world of Star Trek."

Kurtzman said the following:

"We know we owe you a lot of answers about how this season connects to canon, and you’re going to get them. You’re just not going to get them the way you expect them.”

We also learned that Spock will be featured during Season 2!
