New Amsterdam Trailer: Ryan Eggold Returns to TV!

New Amsterdam looks set to be a fresh take on the medical drama.

NBC recently placed an order for the series and has announced it will air Tuesdays 10/9c out of megahit This Is Us.

The series was formerly known as Bellevue, but has been given the New Amsterdam title. Yes, it's the same title of a failed Fox drama from several years ago, so we fully expect the name to change again.

The official logline reads:

The new Bellevue Hospital director’s maverick approach disrupts the status quo while always prioritizing patient care.

Located in Manhattan, Bellevue is the only hospital in the world that has the capability to treat ebola patients, prisoners from Rikers Island and the President of the United States all under one roof.

It stars Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist), Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who), Janet Montgomery (This Is Us), Jocko Sims (The Last Ship), Anupam Kher (Sense8) and Tyler Labine (Reaper).

Based on the official trailer which was released today by NBC, the series looks like it's going to be a solid addition to NBC's already solid crop of dramas.

Medical dramas are in demand right now in the aftermath of The Good Doctor and The Resident emerging two of few success stories during the 2017-2018 season.

It turns out; viewers really like medical dramas.

It is the sole freshman drama on NBC's fall schedule and joins three new fall shows over on the network's schedule.

Have a look at the full trailer below and join us in the comments with your thoughts on it.

Is this the type of series you will give a chance, or will you avoid it?
